Garden Gate advisory board

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I just got an email from Garden Gate (the magazine), telling me I'm now on a new advisory board. (I applied for the board after I saw a notice in my most recent issue.) Did anybody else volunteer? I'm kind of excited to see what kind of input they are wanting.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Well now, Terry, I would say congratulations are in order..

Thanks, ya'll! I'm hoping maybe some other DG members saw the same announcement, and signed up, too. I'll let you if they tell us any good "scoop" (unless it's "Top Secret" stuff, hehehehe)

Congrats Terry and Good Luck'''

LOL, Brook - absolutely. I'll be telling them about all the FANTASTIC writers and gardeners on this WONDERFUL website called "Dave's Garden" - and how they should dedicate an entire issue to DG and the people here!!!

(Thanks, everybody - I'm blushing! I didn't mention it to get kudos, but to see if anybody else volunteered for it. I'm still holding out hope I'll find a "friendly (DG) face" or two on the advisory board!)

"There are two kinds of fools...Those who give advice, and those who take it!" If that saying is true then I'm a "Double-Fool"!...I like doing both!
Right now I'm a very jealous double-fool! Congrats Terry!! Won't be long now before they change the name to "Terry's Garden Gate"! Yee-haww!
Sure wish I'd have seen that ad but then again they probably couldn't understand my accent.
Hope you keep us posted on all the particulars. And yes, be sure to plug DG often.

Congrats. It won't be long before we have DG members contributing to ALL the gardening magazines.
So far we have Organic Gardening and Garden Gate covered.
Whats next?/

Excuuuuse me!

How about Mother Earth News and OFA's Gardener's Companion, both of which I contribute to regularly? I'm also on the advisory board at Mother Earth.

I have an article in the premier edition of Heirloom Farm & Garden Magazine, and will be in subsequent issues.

Until it folded I did a regular column at LeBep's Garden magazine (you can still read them at www.lebepsgarden.zipworld.com.au). And I contributed to Kitchen Garden before it's demise.

Plus there are DG members who contribute to a whole slew of gardening magazines. Many of these are just lurkers, to be sure. But you'd be surprised how many professional writers are numbered in our membership.

Dogs! We should draw them out of lurking,Brook. Maybe you could start a "writer's thread" (no, not a Forum) and see what interests pop up.

By the way folks, you really oughta read some of Brook's stuff. I'm tickled pink that some heirloom seeds I sent to him are gonna be mentioned (by him) in one of his future Ma Earth articles...the woman who passed them on to me is really excited about it also. Thanks Brook.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

No I wouldn't Brook.....

Glad to hear that Brook; we don't know those things unless someone tells us
.What name do you write under?

Any more garden writers out there let us know.

My own, Paul.

For a recent example, see the stuffing tomato story in the most recent Mother Earth News. For some older stuff, go to www.lebepsgarden.com.zipworld.au, then click on The Heritage Garden. For other older stuff, go to the MEN website, and check the archieves.
