Does anyone know??

where I can get " Resin bird staues????" ~ I have been lookig for some for a while now, I want some to put in/ around my watergarden ... I'm looking for " Great Blue Herron" and "Egrets" ... I want the ones that have the " real looking legs" not the ones that have steel stick legs ... I have included a pic of the kind that I am looking for ( Not the greatest pic,But, It gives you an idea of what I mean ) In the pic, there is 'floating koi", floating water lilles, And the 'resin egrets" ... I would check the shops that sell bird feeders, food etc. or plant centers, we have about 4 stores in the Madison WI area that might have them and I will be trying to get to the Garden Expo this week-end ,so will keep my eyes open.

I have checked the co-ops and plant places in and around my area, But, Have not had all that much luck .
If you see any at the expo or stores in your area, Could you jot down there no. for me please? Thankyou, And thank's so much for responding to my post.

We lost all four of our Koi last week..eaten by a heron. He finally found our pond and came back twice. Poor fishies.
Anyway, DH went online and found a website that has heron statues that I think are what you are looking for. We are thinking of getting one also, hopefully to keep the real herons away. Do you know if that works? DH is at a class right now and I can't remember the site name, he does. I will contact you back when he gets home, OK?

Donna, So sorry to hear about your fish!! It's my understanding that if you put the statue out at the right time ( After Heron's mating time) that it 'Will' keep them away because they are very teritorial. Would love to know what site he seen it at ~ I figured they would go for around $45 or up.

Before you order these...check Big Lots if you have one near you..they have them for 12:00 - 17.00 each.

Guess what Donna??! I ordered the "heron ' today too! They said I would get it by this Saturday or by next Monday!! I Can't wait lol!! If I get mine in first, I'll post and let you know what to expect ok ~ One thing too be carefull of when ordering ~ Make sure your DH said " Heron" and Not "Great Blue Heron" ! When I had first called and told them that I wanted to order the heron, They confused it with the "great blue heron' that they also sell (It's the one that's like the one that's on the first hyperlink you posted ) I finally got that straightened out and now they are sending me the "right heron" ~ I hope your DH ordered the right one, It's easy for them to get confused at that site because they have more then 1 kind of heron for sale ( I just thought I'd mention this because I almost bought the 'wrong one' because they went by the other kind that they had and not by the one I wanted 'gotta be carefull' )
