Good job for a gardener! have fun and get paid for it too, plus, don't forget to salvage.
Got A Job!!!!!!!!
Oh, you lucky thing, you! Yep, salvaging is a great job perk ~ got a greenhouse? You're gonna' need one! :-) I worked in a nursery last year and it's too much fun! Does your job include retail selling? It's great when the little old ladies bring cuttings and things for you and the little old men bring tomatoes. You'll learn so much from talking to them. Even if not, just getting to plant all morning and tend all afternoon ~ sounds like Heaven to me! Oh, this is great, Flowox!
Susan
Congrats knock em dead; I'm sure you will
Paul
I have no idea what the job entails until Tuesday. I was so excited to even get the job that I didn't even ask.........LOL
Sweetie, you are too funny! You could wind up sitting in the office and not getting near a plant! Of course, you will still have a job, so all is not lost, but I find it totally amusing that you took it on blind faith. You were ready for a JOB!
well, the job called for "greenhouse workers" so I'm sure I won't sit behind a desk..........LOL
Heh, heh, I can relate to that excitement. At my nursery job, they paid every two weeks and held back a check so I didn't even know how much per hour I was making 'til after I'd been there three weeks! LOL!
Susan, Congratulation! Sounds like a great kind of job! Right up your alley.
Wingnut, Susan, you are hilarious. But I would work in a big greenhouse for nothing, if I could set my own hours. (Nocturnal, you know).
Yee Haa Susan,
See...that other job was just not meant to be. This will be so much more fun. Maybe you can pick up some planting pointers to share with us...you know we all love new techniques for gardening.
Donna
I'll share everything I'll learn if you guys want to know it :o)
Aimee, got a job for ya'...
Wingnut, what would that be?
Well, I'm hoping to open a nursery later this year and you DID say, "I would work in a big greenhouse for nothing, if I could set my own hours." tee-hee-hee...(just kidding *grin*)
Why, of course, Wingnut, but be sure you think this through. I wouldn't want us to misunderstand the fine points here. I did, however, misuse the word "work", as I would enjoy every minute spent in a big greenhouse during the hours of my choosing. Dust a little of this pollen here, take a cutting or two there, arrange the plants to please my eye, those are all greenhouse chores, right? Child's play to this old lady.
Be sure to give me advance notice sufficient for acquiring a good trailer.
What a dream job!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!
Great, knew you could do it.
Congratulations. What a great place to work.
