Feb. 10 - Mark your calendars!

***Just a reminder for those who asked me to remind you closer to the date - it's this Sunday!!!!***

I'm so glad I went to HGTV's website today because there I discovered that a special (to me) episode of Secret Gardens finally has an air date: 3:30 pm (ET) on 2/10/2002.

With any luck, there will be absolutely NO glimpses of my yard, LOL. I wasn't there the day they filmed, but I'm sure my two lab mutts (Duke and Daisy) were their usual nosy selves, barking and pacing on our side of the fence.

(Ya'll wanna talk pressure? Try living next door to a guy whose back yard is fit to present on HGTV!!! Fortunately, they are also extremely gracious neighbors ;0)

Thanks, ya'll - I'm SO proud for my neighbor! He has a gorgeous property, and has been on our Jr. League's annual "Secret Garden" tour several times, including last spring. (Which is when HGTV caught wind of the tour, and picked his gardens out of several others, including a multi-million dollar estate!) He did all the work himself, and many local photographers use it for bridal and children's photos.

Our property definitely doesn't look like his, but we love our yard, and hope to make some nice improvements over the next several years. We're lucky to have lots of good size trees to start with. Shrubs and perennials are going in a few a a time, and eventually we'll get there...he's a tough act to follow, though!

I'm with Ruby42 ~ just post a reminder a day or two in advance! Don't want to miss it!!! How exciting :)

Yay - I wondered when that would aire. How exciting! We need to remember to tape that...Or tell our friends with TiVo to *please, please, please* record it for us so we won't forget!

I'll be watching for the *reminder* LOL! I really would like to see it, but I can't remember that far ahead.

Copperbaron, you nailed it! But I don't think she should worry about having people who know her here, if they aren't here any more often than her elusive mother.

Speaking of neighbors, I just called mine who have a dish and they said they'd tape it for me! Hopefully Debbie will be home from work by then so we can watch it together. I can't wait until they get a computer so I can get her in here and y'all can meet her. She's toooooo sweet!

I have had a red post-it-note stuck to the computer ever since you first announced this Go_vols. I stay at the computer so much, I don't think there is a way to forget it but I am putting a nice red on on my bathroom mirror just in case since the airing time is so near. We seniors have to resort to lots of tricks to avoid forgetting such important events. LOL

I checked our TV guide it shows Gardens of Alanta today???

Well, just finished watching it - we were disappointed but enjoyed the show nevertheless. Let us know when you find out the correct showing!

I would love to see it too but I don't have cable :o(
Does anyone watch these shows and other garden shows often and maybe would record some for me? I could always send you tape. I get so bored sometimes but cable is a bit high and just not within our budget right now. I usually sit infront of the computer anyway........LOL. I wouldn't mind seeing a few of the shows though :)

I was all set to watch, went downstairs, and turned on HGTV, and flipped thru the guide and It wasnt on...bummer, thought I had missed it becuase of the time difference. Be sure to keep us updated on when it will be on. I will definately watch it.

Grandkids were here and one was watching cartoons and one the animal channel. I finally taked the one on the animal channel out of the control and watched the show. I was disappointed it was the wrong one but did identify a plant that I have. It was a lily my wife found in the woods at my neice's last year. It was the rain lily. We are wondering if it will come back this year. I really enjoyed the show even though it wasn't the right one. Keep us posted on the time.

Bummer!! I was looking forward to it. I did enjoy the one that they substituted though so it wasn't a waste of time. Keep us posted at to the date when you find out.

Our local paper (the Nashville Tennessean) mentioned it is now set to air Sunday, April 7, 2:30 pm ET. (It's not yet on the HGTV website, but I'll assume the newspaper editors verify their facts before they print something.)

I'll let you know if I hear anything else, but for now - mark your April calendars :)
