I received seed of this campanula in a trade. Can it take much shade? The seeds are tiny; when should I start them? Any other information would be appreciated.
campanula latifolio "Brantwood" (bellflower)
woodspirit
I bought seeds of those from T&M. I planted them on top of the potting mix and started them on the heat strip @ 72*.
so if I plant them directly, I need to wait until the soil warms?
i bought these orig form t&m. I live in zone 4. I collected seeds from them(and traded some) I have started them indoors about a week ago. ( 3/12) they are very tiny. I just surface sow and kept them warm(just by the wood stove) they are just begining to show. azillion tiny green things. I just keep them moist(i have them under lights now) Last yr in my garden they got to be about 3 feet tall with tons of lilac color blossoms. they bloomed in july and aug around here. hope this helps
