Does any one know how to take cuttings from Hebes?
Hebe Cuttings
Is this related to the Jebes! LOl
LOL Azalea
Baa lucky you - can't grow them here!! I would take stem tip cuttings, especially when you cut them back to dead head them!!
Louisa
Even luckier I got them for £1 each in the autumn sale, reduced from £7.99.
I was hoping I could take cuttings now because they are so slow growing. Oh well, next autumn it is then. Thanks for the info.
Why don't they grow there?
It's too hot for them here Baa! Slow growing?? I never thought so - at least not the ones I had!! I would say you managed some nice little bargains there! A lovely small shrub to go with the hebes is Convulvolus Cneorum (sp)!! I loved that so much!! Clay soil here doesn't allow me the luxury of such lovely shrubs - amending it of course and might try some raised beds!!
