Oh, but I like the name oldcrumblymudhousewithholesinthewall!! LOL
How did you pick your DG name part 2.
Would have been catchy, but I don't think anyone would have wanted to talk to me; too much work just to start the paragraph!
Besides, we really do intend to fix the holes...one of these days...when we have nothing else to do...
LOL, do you really have days like that? I didn't think there was such a thing. ;o)
Well no, now that you mention it, I don't really have days like that. And I hate to say it, but joining DG has just made it worse. Today I spent nearly an hour on the internet, trying to figure out if the ground squirrels in my yard were round-tailed ground squirrels (Spermophilus tereticaudus?) A few weeks ago I would have just called them little tan squirrel things. What is happening to me? It's all your fault.
I'll never get the holes in my walls fixed this way.
I know exactly what you mean!! LOL
Housework? What's that?? I have people to talk to on DG! ;o)
Hey Mud....errr....hey Old....no....Hey house...shoot! Hey OMH.....Glad to have you with us.
The next time you go by that Rest Area up on the hill outside of your town...East Bound Lane...how about taking a good picture of that Roadrunner and putting it in Garden Art Forum. It is right up Drdon's alley. Jo
Naturally, this is my dogs name. She was raised in the truck. DH & I ran team over the road (OTR) for 20+ years. Got Petra from DD2 when she was about 2 months old. Going thru the scales, Petra riding shotgun, over the loudspeaker, 'Does your co-driver have her logbook up to date?' So I told DH I'm going to get a drivers license for her. No you're not, she will NOT have our last name on there, she is a DOG. So told DH it will say Petra L. Dog. Never did get it done tho. And a good dog she still is, even tho I got off the truck 5 years ago & DH retired almost 2 years ago, but now is working 2 parttime jobs. It really is hard for him to stay at home after driving a truck for 35 years.
Hello petralittledog. Truckers are good solid folks, and this country would quickly grind to a halt without them. Sounds like Petra was lucky to land with a family who have given her a full and interesting life! It's nice you honored her in your DG name.
Hey roadrunner, that's a good idea, I'll try to get over there and take a pic of that sculpture when I can. BTW, mud, muddy, oldmud, omh, whatever!
:-) Sheri
lol...I love the color of Turqoise and the stone itself, but the "correct" spelling is always taken...so I adopted this mispelled version for myself...and a right proud Texan to boot! It definitely isn't as interesting as oldmudhouse though...lol

Friends on classmates gave me the nick name Xena Warrior Princess years ago. They were saying what supper hero everyone was like and I somehow resemble her. LOL I needed something to set me aside from all the other Tami's so I use XWP alot everywhere I go on the net so people know who I am.
Tami
Cece came from my first intial and my husbands first initial. Cherie and Ed hence Cece.
Course it could also beed's initials of last name then first. Either way I needed to be able to remember it so I use it everywhere. On trivia, the bank, wherever.
Hey anyone from Texas---Can you tell me where abouts Humble Tx is?????? I've relatives in Gustine but they don't know where it is. I used to live in Tx but 1966 pop got a bug to move and brought the whole family to this blasted place with snow and ice and -20 wind chills. Brrrrrrr any way I was wonderin if anyone could tell me where Humble is
Humble is just northeast of Houston. I've lived in Wisconsin, and I don't miss the cold at all!!!
CajuninKy kind of speaks for itself. I am transplanted from "down da baya" in south La. Living in the mountains of eastern Ky.
My ancestory is also from France. Larpenteur from Thomerey. Family owned a "castle" called Montmelian. It was across the river from Napolean's place and they were pretty tight. One of my ancestors was the priest who married Napolean and Josephine. We have a picture of one of our ancestors wearing a hat Napolean gave him. He looks as proud as punch. LOL
Here is a picture of Montmelian as it looks today. It's not in the family anymore. It was sold when they chose to come to America.
Oh, how beautiful!!!
