I did this one awhile back and was going to bump it back up but it was so long so I thought I would do it again since we had so much fun with it and there are so many new people around now. How did you pick your DG name. Most of of you know how I got my name but newcomers don't so here goes. I love unicorns and my daughter gave me a beanie baby unicorn and its name was Mystic. I needed a name and so Mystic was born. Somehow the name seems to fit.So who is next? How did you pick your name?
How did you pick your DG name part 2.
I blindfolded myself and then threw a dart at myself and it landed on TomK. LOL!!!
I just picked the name I used when I signed up on Ebay.........took me forever because everthing was taken, so I asked Jim, my DBF and he said Flowox.........I have no clue what it means and neither does he........lol.......I use it everywhere though because it works :o)
trust in God
vic - short for Vicki
I picked part of my first name and part of my last name. That way I won't ever forget who I am...LOL
my parents called me like that when I was a child. (mom) still calls me that :)
Yep, My mother use to call me Mollybee all the time, and it just kinda stuck!
tiG---- I would have never guessed what your name meant! That is soo neat!!
For my favorite perennial, Pardancanda norrisii, the bigeneric cross of Pardanthopsis dichotoma with Belamcanda 'Avalon Hybrid'. These plants are in the Iris Family, despite the popular name of candy lily. For photos and articles, please visit the website (under construction):

Glad to have met so many wonderful garden friends here at Dave's. John
These are great and I think we learn so much about people by there names.. Keep them coming gang..
MiniSchnuz cause I have my dogs kind is Miniature Schnauzer. I use it everywhere cause it work!
Imaseedpicker cause I am obsessive about picking seeds...as soon as i wake in the morning I am out picking seeds and the afternoon and the evening...LOL
Rebecca, I thought I must have a rare disorder, but I guess it's not so rare after all. I tried to ignore the wildflowers this year, as I was still pretty limited in what I could do, but finally couldn't stand it any longer and started picking the agalinus. I even have a hard time ignoring seeds of things I don't like!
ummm......
wanted to be recognised.....
kinda like putting up my hand!
how could you miss me! I mean really!
SoCal...I was the only person from So. California when I joined this site. It is also in my email addy.
Donna
Baa is a nickname from outside of DG.
Northerner cos I'm from the north of England. Easy!
for my constant companion kiki who I love like a child although some people think she is just a cat.
LOL!! I thought kiki must be your daughter!
The name Carol was already taken when I joined. I decided to add a 7 because it's the usda zone I live in and my lucky number too. I know, not much creativity here. :o)
Because I'm so Sweet.
Being 1/2 Scandinavian,
I used the old Norwegian
spelling for "daughter of Oscar",
as I am Oscar's daughter! :-)
I love my yard and birds and so just put them together as I'm not very creative either.
I REALLY LIKE MORNINGGLORIES. SO WALA HERE I AM!
Larkie, because that's who I am, and it is rarely already taken..LOL
Larkie
MS as in the state of Mississippi
Jen as in part of my name, hence MSJen
Ollie was the name of a big orange cat I had some years ago. On some forums I use MadameDudley, a composite of my two current cats. Do I like felines? I think so!!
I was afraid I would forget what I chose if I got creative, so I just used my name, minus the é I actually use because it wouldn't take when I entered it. And this might end up looking goofy if it still doesn't take! I am Aimée.
my mom and dad gave me mine! LOL
after my beloved aunt, now deceased, and my new and final destination - Louisa County. I'm Margaret :-)
I love how everybody picked their names. Some I already knew but some are new and I had no idea. This is so great and I feel like I am getting to know you all better. Ok who's next?
Because Evert is my name... I just thought, 'ok it's a good nicname' - and signed up to the DG-- =)
I've been Pebble all my life. My father's name was Stony, when I was born, I was his little Pebble, I've been called that all my life. Sometimes I wonder if it is silly for a 40 year old to be called Pebble, but I think It's too late im the game to change names.....I do feel funny in the business world sometimes...Luckily most of my customers are foreigners and they dont think it's odd.
Kikisdad, our cat's name is KIKI also. I call him kikums.
Aimee,
I love your name with the little(^"close enough")but still want to pronounce it AMY! LOL
Btw, my dh has about killed me when we go anywhere as I am picking seeds at KFC, banks...you name it! LOL

With all the snow and cold we get here in the White Mountains I turn into a snowhermit in the winter.I keep my house full of plants to fight off Cabin Fever. LOL
Mine is from the chickens I raise"Polish Chickens"(actually they are not from Poland, there is a large knob on the top of their skulls, also called a "poll" and and over the years is turned into Polish)Anyhow, they have tons of feathers that stick out on top of the knob, called a crest, hence:crested chickens
