Saffron crocus & White Flower Farm

Just received notice from White Flower Farm that their grower shipped the wrong crocus for the saffron crocus I ordered and planted this fall. They will make it right, but picking all those threads of the wrong kind of crocus was a job. Anyone else order any from them?

LOL, crestedchik! No, fortunately none of my holiday dishes called for saffron... I HAD planned a spanish dish for a February dinner party, and I do still have a tad bit of store-bought saffron left. (Also, thankfullly, I didn't mix the old and "new"threads, and have already trashed the false ones!)

With Saffron being more expensive than gold, I imagine that there would have to be a valid reason...ie manual labor out the wazzooo.
