China doll, so pretty, one of my favorites

Thanks Jackie. I potted up my 3 higes and 2 purpureas, leaving them outside.

My cleaning progress has been slow too.
Decided to check in since I have a bloom this morning. Rainy, windy and cool this morning.

I have 2 blooms today, one from Blue flame and China doll still growing inside.
Have a nice weekend.

Lovely blooms Helena.
I've had an Amazon lily blooming a rare occurence for me.
And if I can send the pic, a bloom on my Queens Tears almost didn;t see it.
My plant itself looks horrible, needing to be divided.

Beautiful blooms Helena.
We have had really nice weather, but there is a cold front coming in tomorrow. Supposed to drop to 17 degrees tomorrow night.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
I'd like to see your Amazon lily.
Linda, we had rain this morning and it wasn't cold but the wind picked up and it's been chilly. Two more days of this and hope it'll be over.

Gautier, MS

It's almost 5:30 pm and China doll had 2 blooms today that are still open.

Helena Was it cloudy there , they will stay open later if it is
Very pretty

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. Yesterday I took the rest of my morning glories outside. It still go a little chilly so this one had blooms that were opening yesterday and didn't look too happy, I think.
I found ip. Indica for sale at Lowe's yesterday with wrong picture. One pot had a bloom on it, so I bought it for a ridiculously high price. I also bought a small native redbud tree.

Love the new indica Helena,. Mine didn;t even bloom last yr needing a bigger pot
and I didn;t take good care of it. I would love to find a redbud tree.

Gautier, MS

My China Doll still had its blooms opened this morning.
The Redbud small young tree i got from Lowe's already has leaves on it, heart shaped. I think they bloom before the leaves come.

Yes. I think they do bloom b4 the leaves. Not blooming here in my area yet, but soon

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms Helena.
We don't have any red bud trees in our yard, but they are everywhere here. They are all blooming.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda. Hope you enjoy the redbud blooms in your area Jackie and Linda.
I've been trying to clean up and rearrange my plants. So far this year I'm not going to have a lot of mgs. I just can't get in the mood to start any more since I have too much to do and can only do a bit each day.

China doll is beautiful.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I haven't been able to start any, hope to soon. We're enjoying all the blooms you're getting Helena.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda.
I don't want to start any more until I get the area cleaned out. But I do have a bud getting close to bloom in a couple of days. After the rains we've had I'm noticing purpureas terminating on the ground though.
Two clemente (not sure of spelling) bloomed today.

My computer tech son taught me to make collages with my pictures so I'm testing to see if it goes through. These are blooms from last year's growing inside, I think.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh my. I love the blooms in your collage.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
I had several blooms this morning. Blushing pink blzd, purple hige, love the color of this rose, it's only maybe 5 inches tall on its own roots that I paid an arm and a leg form.
I can only see the left side of the pictures on this weird phone when I post here.

I just posted and it went back to a strange looking page, my post is gone, ???
Beautiful blooms Helena even if one was not quite what you expected.. So busy here with problems but hope I can start a few glories.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie, hope you can start a few seeds too. Take a little time off for yourself Jackie.

Beautiful blooms Helena. I hope to take time to do a few things I enjoy like starting my seeds. Tired of being so stressed all the time. .

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I hope you are able to Jackie. I have a batch of purpureas and higes that I just soaked over nights and sowed them into prepared pots and placed them outside. I had to just cover them with plastic on the cold night. Most are coming up now.
My purple hige and ip. Indica i bought from Lowes

Lovely blooms Helena. I need to take everything out of the greenhouse, too warm in there. We do have a few more cold nights coming, the plants won't like but shouldn't hurt them. My greenhouse is falling apart, can't use next yr.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello. I have been trying to get into DG for days. Not for sure what happened, but I had to sign in, it would work, so had to send request for new password. It took forever.
Now all the pages are different.
Helena, your blooms are absolutely beautiful.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Glad you finally got back in Linda.
Got a few mg's planted. some going to be too old to sprout. I can only wait for them a few days then replant with newer seeds.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda. Glad your back too.
Glad to hear you sowed a few seeds Jackie. I decided to plant a few purpurea vines into the ground out of pots and up a trellis. We finally got a bit of rain Saturday, a little more on Sunday.

What a beautiful blue/purple bloom with white border Helena. Love it..

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie.
I'm posting blooms from yesterday and this morning.
The 3rd picture is supposed to be a dark blue, I'm hoping with a wide white center.
I think the weather here is maybe affecting the color but we'll see on the next blooms.
