Golden Full Moon Japanese Maple Soil Mix

I just received a Golden Full Moon from Mr. Maple. This isn't my first maple but the first that I will be growing in a container. I picked an utra oxy air pruning pot and have a question on the soil mix I plan on using. I was going to using a mixture of 35% pine bark mulch, 25% compost with biochar, 15% coco coir, 10% Earthworm Castings and 15% perlite.... Does this seem to be a good mix or should I go with something else.

You probably don't need the perlite as you are already using pine bark mulch which is chunky. I love this Maple! 'Autumn Moon' below.

I have this tree, and it gets a lot bigger than I expected, as tall as the second story of my house. Keep that in mind when you containerize it.

That mix honestly sounds pretty good for a Golden Full Moon in an air pruning pot, especially since the extra airflow helps prevent soggy roots, but I’d personally reduce the compost and worm castings a little because Japanese maples tend to prefer a lighter, airier mix over one that’s too rich or moisture-retentive long term. I’d probably increase the pine bark and perlite/pumice slightly instead, since bark-based mixes work really well for maples and help keep oxygen around the roots. Overall though, you’re definitely on the right track and it should perform much better than regular potting soil.
