Morning Glories 2024 #02

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Another lovely bloom Helena. I planted a couple growing mg seedlings in my back yard tub yesterday. Trying to avoid planting each one in a separate pot.
Way too hot here to work outside. It could be 98 today
Hoping everyone has a nice Fathers Day, it's just another work day for me.
Can't send pics yet.

Helena, that is a beautiful blue morning glory.

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
It rained yesterday, we needed it bad. It seems nice till mid morning then it gets very humid and hot.
Higes are trying to give me a few blooms, rain damage. One is. Nil, no label.

We have had rain here almost every day for about 2 weeks now.
Helena, those blooms are very pretty. Love those higes.

I'm enjoying all your pretty blooms Helena.
Hope I start to get blooms soon. I haven't figured out how
to set up my picture file yet. I can;t find my cd for one thing. I tried to download a new driver but that didn;t work. Wish I knew more about computers, Just too old I guess.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wish I could help you Jackie. I don't know much about them either.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Hubby plugged this old computer up for me. Yesterday I was able to pin a couple of
websites to the taskbar and one to the desktop.. I'm amazed at how much I still
don;t understand about my computer. It's like trying to teach an old dog new tricks. lol

Well, my daughter got me a new computer a couple of years ago but I hardly use it. It seems to be too slow so I just use my phone which is faster.
The color is off on the 2nd bloom, it's supposed to be burgundy. If the bugs hadn't zapped the leaves of my vines the blooms would have been larger. I have to spray the leaves.

Glad you have an old one working for you.
Beautiful blooms Helena.
It's been very buggy here too, on all my daughter in laws gardens. Roses, tomatoes... spidermites, aphids. She is always spraying something.

Your higes are especially lovely this year Helena. I know I have some Split Second seeds here somewhere but haven't been able to find them, It's a lovely pink hige.
I don't believe what's happened to my Fine Pix Studio software, it's no longer available
for a download. Now I'll have to try and use a smart phone, email the pic to myself and try to save it to my documents file. I don't know what I'm doing so i will just have to experiment and see what I can do.

Hope you get to save your pics Jackie.
My only two blooms today.
Found a few swallowtail caterpillars on my dill, looks like my great granddaughter and I will be raising butterflies again.

Enjoying your blooms Helena,. I 'll be looking forward to your butterfly pics
as well.

Thanks Jackie.
No mg blooms today. Hope yours start soon.

Beautiful blooms Helena. How exciting to be raising caterpillars again.

I got my 2nd cataract surgery this morning. Picked up my readers on the way home. It's so nice to finally see clearly.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I had a Dr's appt today so getting a late start.
Hope I see blooms soon too Helena. I see buds even though they're small.

Linda so happy for you that your sight is better after your 2nd surgery..

I've taken pics with my smart phone that I seldom use.. My daughter is going to show me how to upload them.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope you can get your photos to your computer.

Me too Linda. No Morning glories blooming for me yet but I;ve had a canna blooming and a Plumeria. My Mandevilla that was considered rare is getting ready to bloom, white with a pink eye.
The racoons are eating my Brug buds, a wonder they don't get poisoned, since they're in the deadly nightshade family.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I had a siberian husky several years ago that would chew on my brugs. It never bothered him.

Gautier, MS

Glad your eye surgery went well Linda.
Wearing readers helps me.
Waiting to see your blooms Jackie.
First bloom when I saw it closing up mid morning. Other higes from today. Thought these should have more darker blue purple color.

Helena, I love the morning glories with stripes and speckles. Very pretty.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I haven't seen them eating the buds, I just suspect it's them.
All my brugs are very root bound so I might just need to give them a bigger pot so they can retain a little more moisture,. That might fix the problem. if the buds are dropping because the roots are too dry.
Beautiful blooms Helena. Love the higes but that pink is gorgeous.

Still getting a bloom from vines that are almost done for the season.
