Morning Glories 2024 #02

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Had a horrible day today maybe I can try tomorrow.
I have blooms forming on another Plumeria Looks like it might be red or purple. I hate it that I lost the yellow bloom stalk on another plumeria. It had red stripes running thru it Purp booming in the tub.

Sorry to hear you lost a plumie. That purple bloom is beautiful.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda. I think that purp is Joyce Cobb or a name I can't recall right now
Linda, I didn't lose the plumie, I touched her bud stalk and she dropped the entire stalk.. It would have been so pretty in yellow with pink or red stripes.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh my. I didn't know they were so sensitive.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I thought I saw ants crawling on the bud so that's why I touched it, My sight so bad I
couldn;t determine for sure what I was seeing so I guess I wasn't gentle enough.
Yes it does seem that it was way too sensitive to fall off after just a touch. smh
I'm making sure I don't even breathe on this new bud stalk

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

My eye are bad too. I go in on the 6th for my first cataract surgery, then on the 20th for the 2nd one.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I had mine done several years ago, but years apart. The surgery was nothing at all, not painful or anything, The worst part was that my eyes were so sensitive to the sunshine when I drove after the first surgery,. That was not a problem
after surgery # 2. My 2nd eye was much worse so it was not as sensitive as the 1st one.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear it's not painful. Several have told me that. It's just scary, thinking about someone poking my eyes.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

They do knock you out for the surgery which only takes a short while. Taking out the old lens and dropping in the new one, They keep that eye covered until the next morning at which time the Dr checks it and removes the bandage. They don't want to risk you poking that eye on something, That was my experience anyway. It will be the easiest surgery any of us ever have :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope so.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, after the 1st surgery, you'll wonder why you waited so long

My pandurata opened it's 1st bloom this morning.
Helena hasn't posted since May 10, almost a full month. I don't know what to think.

Beautiful bloom. I tried to have my eyes done sooner. Eye doctor kept telling me insurance wouldn't pay unless I was almost blind.
Keeping Helena in our prayers.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, happy for you that you're finally going to have your surgery.

Keep the prayers coming for Helena.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I will keep her in my daily prayers.

Linda, they were supposed to send a car by to check on Helena and her family and then call me. I had called about the time the shift changes so I think the lady I talked to forgot. I will call back tomorrow.

Jackie, I'm sorry I have been missing posting. A huge memory loss when someone came to my door doing a wellness check. It just clicked on me this morning. I was trying to figure out who it was. A bit stressed out lately. I spend the weekend with my oldest daughter in LA. Sorry to make you worry. I'll be reading to catch up and posting soon.

Helena, so glad you are ok.
When any of our friends don't post, we worry.
Your blooms are so pretty.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda, I wasn't keeping up with the days. They just go by too fast.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

We were so worried Helena. You've never gone over a week or so not posting. sorry you've been depressed I go thru that too sometimes with too much to do and me almost 80 years old,
Anyway glad you're back and love your blooms this morning.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. Glad your doing OK too.
There's just too much to do, and never enough time.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, too much to do, not enough time.
I will be 69 Thursday. There are days I feel more than 100.

Gautier, MS

Only one mg bloom this morning and really not that pretty.
It's getting too hot to do much outside.

Even though it has a little damage, I think it's lovely. geat color.
Linda, I hear you. I wish I could go back to being 69. I felt quite a bit better back
then.
Girls, I have bought a refurbished computer.,hubby getting ready to set it up for me. So if I don;t post for a while, might mean I;m having trouble with this new to me
computer.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful color Helena.
Jackie, hope you get your computer running quickly.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I don't like it at all. The monitor is smaller than the one I've been using. The ad said a 17 inch screen, no way.
Plus I couldn't import all my favorites for some reason. A few other problems as well.
I'll keep trying though. I only paid 100.00 for it,.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
No mg blooms today, maybe tomorrow.
Hope your computer works out Jackie. It might take awhile to get use to it.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I couldn't move my favorites over. don't know what's up with that. Hope I can figure it out.. A lot of work to do to get everything I need on this computer. I get overwhelmed just thinking about it.

Gautier, MS

Sorry to hear that Jackie. I would have to depend on my computer wies son to do that.
Only 2 blooms today.
