Lovely blooms Helena. sometimes mine are stubborn about opening all
the way, usually mine are needing a good drink when that happens.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Helena, those are beautiful blooms.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
It's been cold the last 2 or 3 nights and mornings. I left my mgs outside and surprised I still getting a bloom here and there.
Blooms from last couple of days, purple is still open this morning.

I love your pretty center pink bloom Helena but your purple is drop dead gorgeous.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I like that pink rayed bloom a lot too. Hope the weather isn't too bad over your way.
A few more blooms opened.

Beautiful blooms Helena

Gorgeous blooms Helena. I can almost remember the name for # 3. Really hate it that my memory is failing me. Love #'s 4 and 5 with their soft pink coloring.,
I finally got several mg;s started but I'm afraid a few of them will be too old to germinate
Helena. we've had tons of rain here. afraid to carry my plants out of the greenhouse but I've got to soon.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie. I'm getting bad about the mg names too. I didn't have labels on a lot of these. Could it be LVender mist, I don't know. Seems I remember getting similar seeds from Danny and growing in 2003 with just a description of the bloom. Glad you started some seeds Jackie. I started a lot of old seeds that didn't germinate either.
Somehow my heart is not into as many mgs that I grown in the past years.

Helena, those are beautiful pink morning glories. Love that speckled one.

Helena, it might be Lav Mist or Lavender Silk, it does resemble the pattern on my Pink Silk so I wonder if it is one of the silks.
We/re getting older so it's more difficult to grow so many mg's now. I would love to grow tons of them on the fence but too many weeds there,
Beautiful pinks this morning.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie.
I think this will be a slow year for me.
I have a lot other plants that I'm growing other than mgs.
Blooms from this morning.

I might not grow as many this yr either Helena.
I am happy 9 of my 12 mg's have germinated. I would like to start just a few more.
I broke my bloom stalk off of my Plumeria. sick about that, Then something broke or ate my 1 bloom coming along on my Brug, think it was a raccoon. He reached it by climbing up on the trash barrell it was sitting next to. smh Still haven;t brought my plants out of the greenhouse

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms Helena. I have no morning glories growing here at my son's place. Daughter in law doesn't like them. But we have many other plants. Roses, bougainvillea, hibiscus... Daughter in law does most of the gardening. My body is getting slower too.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda. I see armadillos here once in awhile, can tell too by the little wholes they dig for bugs. Glad you got some mgs going Jackie. Bugs are always after the leaves of mine. Blooms from yesterday.

Absolutely gorgeous blooms this morning Helena. I had 2 purp
blooms open today in the tub out back. I have over 50 seedlings
coming up in that tub, I have to pull most all of them to be able to plant a few nils.

Hello all...It's been years since I've been at Dave's but wanted to let anyone who had not heard that Debra Carson passed away on May 19th. Her daughter Rose put a Facebook post on her page. I wasn't sure if any of you were on Facebook :(

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

This is terrible news Ronnie. I was just thinking about her the other day. I wonder what happened? I'm not on Facebook but my daughter is. Thanks for letting us know.
Jackie

You are welcome. Her daughter did not specify but said it was unexpected but they were at her side. I know she had a pacemaker put in last July and was doing well so I am guessing it was heart-related. So sad she was such a great lady.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I read that too. So sad to hear.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

It's been over 2 weeks since Helena posted, I hope nothing's wrong.
There's been so much bad weather with tornado's and flooding, I can't keep up with where it's ocurring..
Hope nothing's happened to her or her family

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I found her phone number, may try to call her tomorrow.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Let me know if you hear from her.
