I live and garden in Kentucky, zone 6B. But I am in zone 10 from December until April. Can I dig up a perennial from my Kentucky garden and take to Florida, propagate thru divisions, grow in pots for 5 months and then take home to Kentucky in May and plant (for example, coneflowers, hardy geraniums, russian sage,)? My purpose would be to give very small divisions a head start so that they would be fuller and healthier this year. I am worried about amount of daylight and if they can get thru the first year without a cold period?
Propagating perennials in Florida in the winter then planting in Zone 6b in Spring

I grow all these plants in New England in Z6 (sometimes A, sometimes B), and I certainly would not do it. These plants do not like scorching sun, warm night temperatures, or high humidity, all features of south florida, and they like to rest in the winter.
