Morning,

Looking at clock to make sure it’s still morning lol

I was out doing snow at 5am, thought I would beat Marie but not, she had 1/2 her drive done. Jules hasn't been here yet but imagine he will be shortly. Sun is shining right now, hope it stays that way as I’ve a doctors appointment tomorrow.

Sharon, will he now Minister in USA or will he be given another post overseas. Lordy that 2 years went quickly. Nothing like picking your own strawberries, you’ve such wonderful gardens and you make the most of them re plants and those that provide eats. Your daughter will be glad to be home and what a great homecoming she will have having her son back, am sure she worries terribly about him.

Guess the thieves were Christmas shopping. Sharon get an alert whenever a charge is made on her account even if it’s her, says it’s a great precaution. Watch, minute you report your cards as making you will find them.

At one time Pat they used to say if there was the smell of baking, decor like Christmas it made the home look attractive and more likely to get a bid, don’t know about these days though.

Not an easy job getting the trellises together but how beautiful it would be.

Too funny, keep looking at the clock thinking it’s afternoon but when you get up at 4:30 it’s better than 1/2 day now.

I am putting eyes on the frogs, embroidered foot pad of the bear with Graysons name,

Got the words Jeff wants on the golf hats incase he comes in the morning.

I will do some hand sewing on the bear and maybe still have time for a nap before
My little student comes at 4:30

I know I've been missing for a while. Everything's going fine, just busy. Pups are growning like weeds. 5 months old last week. The one with the under bite has turned out fine, like I told him it would. I've still got 3 here, the boy was supposed to go to a friend of mine who told me he wanted him, but, now I haven't heard from him. And, now I've gotten even more attached. Maybe he'll stay here, too.

Congratulations to Sharon on the new pups! Hope all are thriving.

I've been following along, just not commenting, because I usually check in during the day at work, and it's hard for me to type much on my phone screen. Everyone has been so busy. Prayers continue for those in need.

Deb, they are growing like weeds! Really starting to show their breed attributes now. I am glad the sold pup with the under bite has resolved.

It's 31 F here right now but just feels colder. Only 2 MPH wind so that's not the reason. It will drop to 24 yet tonight. It feels like snow & they claim 50% chance tomorrow.

The trellises are set in place but not yet secured.

Sharon - glad they caught the false charges! Thank goodness they did. You won't be liable for them, I gather. Good to hear.

Up early again, picked up Cathy at 815 and dropped her off at the home that her mom’s in, she said they had visit. Went to Costco and got mom an electric throw for Xmas, bought a package on hamburger $32 so best I divide it and freeze, as well dropped in to Orillia Needle and Threads, was a class day, so packed that i wasn’t even tempted to look around and now i am home.

Stopped at post office box, got the flyers so will have a hot chocolate, read flyers and who knows, maybe a nap!

It mild out there, almost melted all the snow
Great day for outdoor decorating, before i brought Cathy home we tried to get the artificial tree i had hidden amongst the trees, laying against the fence, forgot i had cemented the tree in a container, nope too heavy for us so will see if Greg can drop in and set it on the lawn for me to put lights I bought a Costco on it, not that I need it but why not.
Hope you are enjoying your day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have been sewing today. I made a set of 8 placemats and a table topper for my sister in law and one for her daughter. Same as I made for my sister. Christmas red truck design on one side, fall red truck on the other. I will find a box, and get them mailed out tomorrow.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Well it's been a good day but I had plans of working in the front garden again and didn't make it outside. I watered my indoor plants and that takes me about an hour and a half because I take them to the kitchen sink and soak them fertilize them, trim them and then put them on Used newspaper next to the sink while they drain.

Betty, I didn't know you ever went to Costco that is one place I should stay out of I went yesterday and spent $236 and that was after I spent $78 at the regular grocery store and $86 at Trader Joe's. But I did buy three bags of apples chicken legs cooked croissants and bananas for the Guard Gate. This time of year they're getting all kinds of junk so I'm trying to give them some food that will keep them somewhat healthy.

Emma has grooming tomorrow so I will go to the pet store which is right across the street and spend another hundred and something dollars on cat and dog food and then I need to go back to Costco to pick up four of the large poinsettias for the Guard area. I pick them up the HOA pays for them.

I haven't gotten the decorations out and if I don't do it this week, I probably won't do it and that is really bad. That would mean that I was really getting old and I don't want to get that old.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, enjoying having my coffee while looking at my Xmas pretties shine. Weather here today is stellar, might be able to decorate a tree outside with more lights.p if I’m able to get the faux tree I cemented in a pail out from behind the pines.

Sharon, when they checked they said it’s only been since 2020 that I hadn’t renewed, only time I go is if it’s something super special I see that someone got at Costco so I go. When I went to a gathering in Ohio Joyce brought us all to a grocery store, each section was decorated in theme of that country and groceries pertain8ng to same, is Trader Joe’s like that. Sure doesn’t take long to spend money, think the trick is to make a list and send someone to pick up what you need. Am sure the gateman is appreciative.your gardening duties never end.

That was a lot of sewing Lindakay, they will love displaying them. Likely you will be sore from using muscles you don’t normally use, know when I sew for a few hours which i rarely do now inner back and shoulder hurt.

December 1st, guess if I am going to give some homemade gifts i am going to have to get a move on

Was just gabbing to Jeff, his flight to Florida leaves shortly, i thought he was go8ng golfing for a week but turns out the men going with him can’t get a week off so he will be back Monday. He turns 54 on the 8th and said he would try to visit for it, am sure he will want Greg here, Greg turns 55 New Year’s Day which means from the 8th to Jan 1st they are same age and enjoy teasing Greg that he is not the older brother that they are same age lol.

Have a list made to do in town today, am hoping to go about 10 and be home by noon., wishful thinking. Sharon’s bank CIBC no longer do USA drafts, Sharon needs to send one for $2,000 for stud fees so guess i will get it for her as I checked and for a tad longer they will continue but are changing their policy to not, not sure why, that likely will take the longest.

the post above “ from France” is an old post I posted maybe last month, not sure why someone is doing that??

Well, coffee break is over so off to do decorative stitches on frog fabric.

Betty - that post from France is someone trying to scam our group, and I for one will just ignore the person. Maybe someone here could report them.

Snowing here. Marie had a friend of her son's contact her. He said he had heard she was putting the house up for sale and wanted to see it. She showed it to him & now we see what he does.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Now wou, don’t that be something, here is hoping it works.

I know better than to think I’m 40, did the extra tree, yikes, what made me think about cementing it into a pail grrr

Groceries put away, supper on the stove, enough to last the weekend, had hot hot bath and now going to bed.

Hope you all enjoyed your day

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Guess the France post was removed? I never saw it.
Susan, did Bob get his belongings off your property?
I have never been to trader Joe's. Not that many in Texas. Guess only in the bigger cities.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well Lindakay if that is the same establishment that Joyce took me to it’s quite something, next time you see one you will have to drop in, think I saw Trader Joe’s on Niagara Falls blvd.

Hard to take photo’s of the lights when they are blinking and fading to Xmas music

Morning, winter wonderland outside,

Sat here in the quiet relaxing til the boys come, had made a scrappy piece and was able to get 5 froggie started. Still have 45 minutes before the kids come so i will sit on sew on Grayson’s teddy bear.

Sharon asked if I wanted to go to Costco, think I will try to convince her to go Monday as I am sure Saturday in December the place will be a zoo.

Spoke an hour with Darlene and John, they are still hoping I come down if not for Christmas then January. They has just finished a nook in their dining room down there and thought it was the perfect place to hang the stained glass I gave them last Christmas

Jeff is in Tampa for the weekend playing in a golf tournament. He made friends on the island with an NFL coach who invited him to the tournament. Last night he watched the game and said after a lot of stupid questions he has learned a lot of play info.

What are you all up to today, hope your weather is nicer than here.

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Costco on a Saturday right now would be a zoo! Ours is BAD no matter what, it is soooo busy! I hear we are getting a 2nd one. Unfortunately, it will not be in the area I would benefit much from. Across the river, in Pasco, would have really helped alleviate some of the crowds but Pasco did not play friendly with the corporation.

Marie & I finished the dolls and loaded them into her car. Now we can clear that bedroom and get it show ready,. I REALLY didn't want to do dolls this year, but we didn't have much choice as we already had bought the dolls and had most of the clothes already made.

We are going to look at one house & then attend a Christmas party of our sewing group.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful lights Betty.
We are just beginning to get the house ready for decorating. My daughter in law loves Christmas, and she goes all out. I helped her make Christmas curtains. When we get it all up I will send photos.
Pat, I hope the house you look at, is what you are looking for.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Had to share this video. Thought of Deb when I saw it.

https://www.facebook.com/share/r/pEbAY5VMULnhDufM/?mibextid=D5vuiz

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, I can imagine the owner/ trainer JUST CRINGING! Lol Oh my... Christmas curtains? Your DIL does go all out!

The house did not meet our needs. The party was fun.

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

The link doesn't work for me, LindaKay. Christmas curtains, wow, my mom always had Christmas curtains that she made. Sure brings back memories!

We're having a dreary rainy day here. Trying to keep everyone inside as much as possible to keep them from tracking the mud back in the house. I have a guy coming this week to fix my stove, so I'm trying to keep the house clean!

Verona, ON

LK I laugh every time I see this video and of course think of Deb.

Betty are you expecting this freezing rain? I've cancelled plans I had for tomorrow. There is no way I am going into Kingston.

Have lots of wood inside and everything is charged up in case we lose hydro.

There is absolutely no Christmas decorations up here. I'm just not in the mood. Tomorrow I will bring up the Christmas bins and hopefully that will get me in the spirit.

How's the pup LK?

Stay safe and well.

Evening, should be sleeping, body says night, night but mind is in past and future grrr
Where is that sandman? Think if it were a sandlady she might be more dependable.

No Dianne, not freezing rain here but it did say your region is expecting it so smart of you to cancel your plans, hope they weren’t Doctor appts that will take months to reschedule. How is Chaos doing? You might get into it once you see some Christmas treasures out.

That is disappointing Pat, one of these days all will align and you will find your forever home.

Lindakay I enjoyed the video, should have been longer lol. She must have been frustrated, probably a well trained dog that just got fed up of following rules.

Had the kids today, long day but kids enjoyed and were pleased with their snow people.

Tom and Shannon, owners owners of the restaurant next door brought me supper so i wouldn’t have to cook, smiling, i had cooked Friday night so I didn’t have to all weekend so lots of food, then Sharon messaged me that she made a stew and had some for me so I will not go hungry.

If weather is ok I will go to Costco in Orillia tomorrow morning, miss my pre Christmas trip to Khols in Buffalo so i am hoping that Costco has nice pj’s, always get everyone p.j.’s to go with their Xmas gifts.

To you sewers,Sharon is making a tree throw with 5” blocks, end blocks are angled, says put 2 -5” blocks right side together, sew half square, corner to corner then cut 1/4” from sewn line, Sharon says it turns out to be 4 3/4” blocks, what are we missing? Seems to simple a process to be this confusing, well maybe because I am tired.

Ziggy is sleeping next to me hogging the bed, let’s see if I listen to his breathing which is similar to white noise and i will fall asleep

In Boise I turned on the DW for white noise if I had moved to the recliner because I could not sleep, that would not work here. My DW is almost completely silent!

The project was a success from the looks of those cute snowmen in your students' arms.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, snowing lightly here but i told Sharon I would go with her to Costco so a deal is a deal even though I am tired, might just wake me up.

Sharon listens to something on her telephone, not sure white noise would help me because I have tv on all night.

Yes, kids enjoyed and 3 moms called and asked if I had kits left, this morning I made 4, could make 2 more but will keep the pillows for the children to use as stuffing

Think we on this thread have so many things we are doing that our minds can’t keep up so we should block in 1 hr on our calendar with a daily reminder to tell us it’s downtown lol

Verona, ON

We didn't get the freezing rain just some snow. I'll take it!!

About 6 am this morning I was coming around the corner of the bedroom and Zeke was running towards the bedroom. Bam! My left knee is now the size of a melon and it really hurts. Poor guy - I yelled when we connected and it scared him.

Loved the photos Betty especially the smiles on the kids' faces.

Stay safe and well.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone.
Lizzie is now 5 months old, 50 pounds, and so full of it. She never stops. Photo is Lizzie sitting on the fabric totes we were sorting.
Sorry the house wasn't what you wanted Pat.
Betty, those snowmen turned out so cute.
Dianne, sorry to hear about your knee. Can you go to the emergency room or urgent care to get it looked at?

Thumbnail by taters55
(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Lizzie is so pretty & so attentive to you!

I am happy to hear the freezing rain passed you by Dianne, I'll bet Zeke is having a hard time figuring out what he did wrong!

Touch-up painting here & asked realtor to schedule 4 houses to see. It feels like a waste of time but I can't seem to NOT do it. I cooked dinner last night for Marie and we spent WAY TOO MUCH time looking at house ads & looking up details. We did discuss in length what our IDEAL house would look like. While not exactly the same, compatible ideas. Some things that are important to her, are not to me. .

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

I went to the dermatologist to have a basal cell burned off my back. Smelled terrible. I went there and back. My housekeeper was here today so everything looks wonderful. Tomorrow I will plant some irises a friend of a friend brought down from Utah. Old heirloom. My mother had some beautiful heirloom irises and my brothers dug them up and pitched them to build a big garage for their RV's.

Betty, I forgot to answer your question about my grandson's mission. He has been on it for 2 years. He will be home for about 2 weeks and then heads off to BYU to finish his college. He says he wants to be a dentist but we will just wait and see. He will be home on the 15th. That is also Vern's son Brian 58th birthday. Looks like Brian will be here for a least another year.

Betty, that is a lot of children for you to guide and I bet a big mess to clean up. But they look like they loved it and the project is adorable.

Pat, it is so hard to look at houses for sale and keeping all the facts in your head. Susan has gotten rid of Bob so we need to send our energy toward the sale of your home.

Diane, so sorry about your knee. So pleased your missed the ice storm. We were in the mid 60s today and not a cloud in the sky.

Linda, puppy is no longer a puppy. He just wants to be by Mom.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Well.... I think we have found our house! Marie is counting up resources to see how much we could offer in cash. The current owners have a contingency offer that we could probably beat with a cash offer. Not that we know how much the offer is, but that a sure thing CASH, now, even if less money, will frequently beat a contingency offer.

A house bought BEFORE we got ours sold could save us a lot of money, work and time. We could move stuff directly to the new house rather than pack, store & then move it again after buying. Plus, we would know exactly what we wanted to take with us and keep, sell off the rest or donate.

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1031-Cedar-Ave-Richland-WA-99354/85941498_zpid/ it has NO curb appeal! THAT is easy and not very expensive to fix. There are UGS already in place per the ad. A good share of the yard is in the back behind completely enclosed 6-foot fence & I could ignore it the first the year and focus on the 2 sides that face the roads (corner lot). The pictures are taken with a wide-angle lens, so the size and distances are very skewed. The yard is NOT big!

My neighbor was killed this morning, shot. He was just down the street (not at his house) when it happened. He got into some kind of disagreement & was shot. Another neighbor told me the shooter was a relative of the ex wife,

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Pat, that house is beautiful. Praying they take your cash offer.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Linda, I hope so too!

The shooter was the ex-wife's brother, he has not yet been found. The wife & Ex were on very good terms, it was not about that.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Afternoon, overcast today, which is goodbye me as it doesn’t involve any shoveling.

How dreadful Pat, know from experience with Jamie it put the entire neighbourhood in a tizzy. Oh Pat do hope $$$ can be gathered and this house bought, looks wonderful. I know the lens they use is to make homes more attractive but you would think potential buyers when they go to see homes would be disappointed.

With your love of gardening it wouldn’t take you long to have mega curb appeal.

Lindakay, if Lizzie is 50lbs now how much more is she expected to grow?

Another year Sharon, some of those owners i am sure weren’t as lucky as Brian, what ever will happen to them. Dentist is a great profession but many more years in university. Now that the freezing is out are you in a lot of pain.

Deb, how are things going your way?

I haven’t seen Susan post of late, must scroll back incase i missed it, hope all ok.

Here is Giorgia, she leaves at 6, bet I am in bed by 6:10 😜

Dianne how are you doing, able to walk or did you finally go for X-rays. I looked at 2 week forecast for here, doesn’t show a lot of snow but that could quickly change.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

My cousin is coming to help me with the rain gutter down spouts and my realtor is due here any minute. I would LOVE a nap.

Yes, those photo lens can make the tiniest area appear HUGE! I went with full expectations that it would be a bad flipper house. I am pleasantly surprised. There are 2 "bedrooms" that are way TINY and clear across the house from the 2 bathrooms. We might consolidate those 2 bedrooms and the "entry" to create ONE room and add a bathroom, That is the only change IN the house besides adding more overhead lights.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well you are sounding excited about this place, sure hope you get it, a new start for both f you. May all go well with the realtor as somebody’s dream is buying a house for Christmas
What catches my eye is no curtains anywhere

I remember when I went to Texas with the girls, we went to where the show Dallas was filmed, omg my house was about same size, the pool, the said they used the ens, had a belt on the men q when the did their scenes of doing laps where i t looked like they were swimming forever.

Went into Kingston to meet friends for lunch. Maryl wanted to go to Red Lobster. I brought enough home for 2 more meals. We chatted for about 2 hours and since they weren't busy we weren't rushed out. Will meet again in February after Maryl gets back from her cruise.

Betty just Google Friddle. I could see Greg enjoying 1 at their trailer. I have used mine on the stove, a campstove and the BBQ. These 2 are Christmas gifts. Since the seller was going to be out this way she dropped them off at the house. The lane sort of shook her up. I had warned her it is not for the faint of heart.

Pat I enjoyed looking at the photos of the house you are considering. You are right cash opens a lot more doors. How did you make out with the realtor?

I'm dragging. I've been up since 3:30 am. It will be an early night for me. I just need to get a bit more wood in for overnight then I'' head to bed and read. Maybe watch some of The Voice. Huntley has captured my attention.

Oh LK Lizzie is a cutie. I just want to give her a hug. Is she a cuddler?

Stay safe and well.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

When you can catch her, she is a cuddler. She is do active chasing the older dogs here, or any leaf that blows by... she sleeps by my feet sometimes at night.

Today, the best part was discovering how efficient https://www.traceshipments.com is for tracking packages from various couriers in one place. The worst was dealing with a delayed delivery, but at least I could easily monitor it. I learned that using TraceShipments.com saves time and reduces the hassle of tracking multiple shipments.
