Best/Worse/What didI learn today?come sit spell, where friends meet..always an extra chair

Victoria Harbour, ON

How sad Lindakay for all of you, hugs

Pat, you must be exhausted at night.
I had 115 kids and had to send some away.
Greg, Mel, Kyle & Destiny came with Grayson, was a nice visit

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank you everyone.
We had about 2 inches of snow today, a town north of us and one south got 10 inches of heavy wet snow. It was so heavy it pulled the tree limbs down on the utility wires, and both towns are without power. Now the temperature has dropped and all roads are frozen over. Both towns canceled trick or treating.
Good night friends. Sleep tight.

Verona, ON

Good morning everyone. No snow yet but it sure is cold and gray out there.

All of the time I spent using the leaf blower was all for naught. We've had some nasty wind and they are all up on the lane. Grrrr

Linda holding you and your sister close to my heart. I played Warren's favourite music as they say they can hear you. One of his favs was Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London, Excitable boy. The hospital staff wasn't too keen on it but I knew even if he didn't show it Warren was rocking out to the music.

Betty I hope you are in less pain today. It's the pits isn't it when you want to do things but the pain gets in the way?

No trick or treaters here. Zeke decided to do his own version of trick or treating yesterday. I had him out on a leash and he started to run after a squirrel - snapped his leather collar in half and off he ran. He just goes to Keiran's thank goodness. He has an old collar of Diesel's on until I can get out to get a new one.

Deb did you get the snow storm ?

Called the vet about the huge cyst Chaos has - can't get in until next week. I asked what I should do if it bursts? Their answer take him to the emergency vet clinic.

Susan I hope things go smoothly with Bob picking up his belongings. My ex and I did not live in the same area of the province. I had a huge steamer trunk and filled it with all of his stuff. I shipped it with the CNR - yep the train still ran from Toronto to Sudbury. Figured it would take a few days and lo and behold I had a call around 5 pm demanding where certain items were. The request included my pillow, my briefcase, a very special hand made quilt given to me when I left home for university and my wedding ring. I hope things go smoothly for you.

Pat you sure pack a lot of things in your day. You have given me the encouragement to go through Warren's closet and the rest of his stuff. I had already taken some things from his closet and given them to a local shelter.

Still getting flashes of vertigo but I am not bedridden like I was last week. I keep on hand emergency kits of dog food, treats and what ever I thought they would need.

Missing Karen's posts.

Stay safe and well.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, I can't imagine how disappointed the little Trick or Treaters must have been. It sounds like a perfect "storm", too much snow, then thaw & freeze, YUK! NO POWER.

Betty, actually it was pretty "pain-free" other than prying Marie out of the thrift store. I did pretty good at weeding out excess clothes. I am committed to keeping my clothes within the confines of my closet space and still having room. Everything is loaded into the car for donations. There are things in there I would normally rehome with the "Buy Nothing" group but just no time to go thru the hassle.

Today is Wednesday and Sharon comes to spend the day working with me. She is such a help keeping me focused on the chores at hand and is a whiz at organization. Two areas I need all the help I Sharon's can get! I only had 6 ToTers so all the leftover fruit snacks need to be loaded into her pickup as soon as she gets here. I don't need to sabotage my weight loss with candy or junk food in the house.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening all,

Glad you posted Dianne, we must be getting early snow here, had about an hour of it and clear now.

Glad you are feeling better re vertigo, it’s one thing being sick but when you can’t move to get up has to be really miserable. Hoping chaos cyst stays as is til your appointment, those emergency visits are triple the cost. Zeke is getting to be escape artist, lucky you know where to find him.

you didn’t send your ex those personal items to him I hope?

i too am missing Karen’s post. I miss all of you when i see no posts, you are all my sisters at heart.

Lindakay, how is today going for you all. As Dianne said, those poor little ones and adults shelling out must have been so disappointed not having Halloween. Did the towns reschedule another date for trick/treating?

Pat, don’t think I could downsize to just one closet especially as we need seasonal clothing so I admire you for your commitment to doing so. How nice that Sharon can give you so much help.

still not feeling up to par and my therapy aggravated shoulder even more but i managed to work putting fall away all day, then thought i would get the upstairs floors washed after vacuuming done but not.

Haven’t checked the weather for next week or so as there is still things needed done, while I lay here I’ll go to notes and mark them down, I need lists to get things done

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Bob's going to get a lot of stuff. I'm being fair, but I won't give him stuff that belongs to ME. I believe he'll be happy with the over-abundance of stuff he's getting. Not sure how he's going to take it away in two trips, but he has 30 days from serving of papers to take all he wants, and the rest is for me to dispose of as *I* wish (without prejudice, I put in the letter).

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Well our weather here is perfect. Clear blue skies and 70 degrees. Going to be in the low to mid 70s all week. I did clean up yesterday from Sunday's windy weather and today I cut back the coleus and cleaned up leaves in the courtyard that landscapers had blown behind plants. I have a cooking pot full of coleus cuttings I am again going to try to propagate. I will do that in the morning.

I purchased 120 candy bars and handed out 80. I have sent texts out to friends asking them to stop by for some candy bars.

Betty, I am sorry your shoulder is still giving you problems. My sister has been dealing with that and they are now trying acupuncture. But I think her pain is more in her neck than her shoulder. So glad you got the Halloween and fall items put away. Next is Christmas. That is my major get items out and other put away to make room for Christmas task. My grandson's come over and help me get the decorations down and out of boxes and the boxes put back. I can handle it after that. Next weekend we need to put the plumerias in the garage. Grandson help with that also.

Betty, I hope you are not getting sick. Not a good time of year for a cold.

Pat, that is outrageous to have to pay that much to hook up for sewer. But I do know it is outrageous here also. And you still have an annual bill after. I agree. No reason to have two trucks. But I bet it is nice to have at least one. Your friend Sharon is always such a big help for you. You are lucky to have such a nice friend.

Dianne, so pleased your vertigo has relinquished a little bit. Can you tell when it is coming on. Very smart to plan ahead on the dogs food and treats. Warren has been gone a long time. I still have many of Vern's treasures. Gave away the majority of his clothes but I wear his socks. I found some old x-rays of his the other day slid behind some clothes of mine in the closet. They are still there. The majority of his treasures I have given to his son.

Susan, so glad the clock is ticking. You need to let us know when he comes to pick up his stuff so we can all celebrate. Since the majority of us do not drink we will celebrate with a milkshake. Hope everything in your home is ready for the winter.

Best wishes to all of you. Hugs.....

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, I hope you are having a peaceful day. I know understand the circumstances a "good day" is not really possible.

'Sharon & Betty, I am lucky, Sharon is my late brother's widow and we have gotten very close now that I live back in TriCities again. I have put out a special effort since she has expressed how hard it has been since her married daughter went back to work full time. We alternate whose house & projects we work on according to need. Last year we worked on her son's jean quilt for weeks! I've helped her make invitations for her church functions and altered her clothes. Right now, the focus is my house. A month or so ago it was the cement walk we were putting in at her house. We have been known to spend hours looking online for the perfect mirror for her bathroom and then go out to lunch. Mostly though we chose hard work that needs two people. We both love power tools and DIY.

I do sometimes take seasonal stuff out to storage but as I have lost weight even that doesn't make much sense since they won't fit the next year. I am rehoming last year's coat and am back into one of old favorites.

Dianne, when I split from my Ex almost 20 years ago, I split every category into 3 boxes. One for me, one for him, one for the kids to split among themselves as they were living for college, buying a home etc. I told him he could choose ONE box, he could not "pick thru". The only thing he asked for that was not "his" was a heavy blanket from Korea that my BBF had given me. I let him keep it. I refused to store the entertainment center, if he wanted it, it had to go WITH him.

Distribution of assets went pretty well. We had a plan in place for a couple to arbitrate if we disagreed. I did need to apply a "little pressure". When he disagreed, I took my proposal to the designated couple and had them look it over. Both said they thought I was being too generous with him. I then told Ex he had 2 days to decide, or I was telling my attorney to go for everything I could get!!! Since MY parents had assisted with putting him thru school and I had worked to put him thru school, worked in his office multiple times, it could have been brutal!! LOL, he saw the light! He made a MUCH better Ex than he ever did husband, or father to our children. He was NEVER late with the money he owed me, I heard thru his sister that there were times he had to borrow to make the payments. He should have thanked Ben. By marrying, his spousal support ended and he could focus on paying off the equalizing payments he owed. He kept greater value of assets (because of the business) and had to pay me the difference.

I miss Ben like crazy but I still get nightmares when I have to interact with my Ex.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Bob's not coming on Saturday for his stuff. He's having "vehicle issues". 30 days after serving, his stuff will be gone, whether he takes it or I get rid of it.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Well I cut back the coleus yesterday to start propagation today but at the last minute I changed my mind and they are now all in the garbage. I spend a lot of time, effort and money trying to get them started and the four best ones I had this year I purchased at Home Depot. So I told myself to just find something else to do. So Emma and I went for our afternoon walk and now both cats, Emma and I are in my bedroom and I am catching up on my computer.

Tomorrow Emma goes to the groomer and I will stop by a nursery near by to pick up just a few more spring flowers. I still have some ham and beans leftover from Sunday so that is what I am having for dinner.

No like Betty not to be on here. Hope she is not sick.

Susan, poor Bob. He probably thinks he can stall you. Better think again.

Pat, that is a great story about you and Sharon. There is a gal on Instagram I follow and she and a friend do that once a month. Works out for them. My daughter is great at helping me de-clutter. But she has an added interest because she would rather get rid of it now than when I am gone.

I will check in later.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

The divorce papers state (as per Alberta LAW) that he has 20 days from being served, to answer to the divorce or the divorce goes through as I state it. He has a lawyer, so I don't know if he's being given good advice or not. He was served Oct 26th, and this has been certified by a Commissioner of Oaths, so it's all legal & binding.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Susan, didn't he have an earlier lawyer that fired Bob because Bob was being a stinker and not following instructions? Or am I mistaken?

Sharon, you are right. Sometimes it's just not worth the effort!!

Back to work on my sewing room. It is coming along!! Our friend Debbie told me that a mutal friend, Lynne has a big Koala sewing station she wants to rehome. Debbie suggested that Lynne contact Marie & I!!! I hope she does!!! That would be outstanding! We met with the architect & hashed out a few more details.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone.
Kathy is still with us, barely. Hospice tried to give her a sponge bath yesterday, but when they took her arm to wash, she cried out. It took another dose of morphine to calm her down. Hospice nurse said at this stage of her life, there is no need to move her for a bath.
Her skin is dark blue in so many places. Feet, legs, hips... we have been told her time is near.

Linda, this is such a hard thing for loved ones to watch. My heart goes out to you with continued prayers.

Victoria Harbour, ON

My heart breaks for you and for your family Lindakay. People shouldn’t have to suffer so much. There just are no words for what you are going through, even though they say she is at the end she must in some way be fighting to stay a tad longer..sending prayers,

Bob getting a lawyer at such a time time in the process worries me Susan, he might want to go for more than his few things.here is hoping his lawyer gives him good advice and end the marriage quickly. You must be on edge with all that is going on.

Pat I spent the morning cutting down the bin with left over pieces into squares and made some binding but I only touched the surface.i do hope you get the Kaola sewing station, is that the one that looks like a cupboard and opened and it’s shelving, open once more and there is a place for sewing machine and place for supplies. Sounds like you have brother made up your minds to get the Reno’s done and move to Marie’s. Would you then be closer to Sharon’s?

Sharon, you are now in the nicest part of enjoyable weather, not too hot or cold.
They have such new varieties of coleus that come out each year, am sure you will have fun finding new varieties in the spring.

Mom has been getting rid of a lot of her treasures because she worries we would just throw them out, know my boys will do that, always say they will have a few dumpsters sitting in the drive day after i am gone lol good for them, they will be no use to me.

Cold out and wind is up, I am thinking of going back downstairs for an hour or so seeing as I am delaying going into town til 1 and do a few errands then on to the funeral home doesn’t open until 2, yep not really sure who the person is but incase my memory isn’t zoning in on the name after getting that call I feel I should go, even if it it a cousin/2nd cousin because they went through the effort of finding and calling me I will do my part. if they called wrong number then I will be a stranger and quietly slip out.

Maybe I will treat myself the Kentucky fried chicken, know it makes me I’ll but sometimes it’s worth paying the price.

Verona, ON

Gusty wind out there swirling all my hard work every which way.

Still haven't started the wood stove. Zeke sleeps right beside me and he is like a canine heating pad. I haven't even started to wear socks - that's a sure sign it is cold.

Our good friend Frank's brother passed away yesterday. It was unexpected so the family is trying to get everything arranged. That means Frank is in charge of everything. Just got a text from Frank they - haven't set a date. There are having trouble contacting 1 of Vic's sons.

I hear Zeke out terrorizing (not really just barking) Chaos so I better get going.

Oh Susan Bob is just being a PIA. I hope this settles soon so you can keep going on rebuilding your life.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank you for all your kind words.
It's not easy to do, this waiting is the hardest part. Hospice is here every day, and on call if we need them.
We don't know what she is waiting for. We have all reassured her, it's OK to let go. The family is waiting for her at the pearly gates.

Victoria Harbour, ON

My condolences Dianne, difficult confirming arrangements when family live out of time. You are using some kind of heating though right? I’d have frozen to death with this cold if I didn’t have furnace going. Chaos and Zeke play well together?

Maybe there is a line—up at the pearly gates Lindakay, just have to wait for her time.hugs

Just got back from townI am so very glad I went to funeral home.

As soon as I went I recognized Mary who called me, you would have thought it was a Queen who dropped in. Got to meet a lot 2nd cousins but they all knew me as 1st cousin because my grandmother raised me. So very glad I went.

i had met Mary at Dollar Tree during Covid, we had exchanged tel.# so that is how she reached me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you went to the funeral Betty. Strange how things happen.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes, i was so happy to see what were kids back then. It brought to light that women normally outlive men, all my female cousins had lost their husbands.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

It's strange how these things come about, Betty - good that she kept your ph# & could contact you.
Diane - sorry that your friend Frank is having to deal with all this. Condolences to the family.

I found out why I've been so "off" lately. Whenever I do anything remotely physically taxing, my heart starts racing & I get all weak and have to sit down. Apparently this stress I'm going through is affecting my blood thinners & I have to take more to get on an even keel again, so upped it from 5.5mg to 6mg for 3 weeks & then will get my INR tested again. I knew something was up. I saw a Nurse Practitioner today, and she had me getting all sorts of tests, including a cardiogram.
Everything else (blood, etc) was fine.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Susan, good thing you checked things out. Hopefully your blood thinner will stablize again quickly.

Betty, we have NOT decided for sure but want to know the cost and options. The Koala is an expensive cabinet, comes in many styles and does hold machine & supplies. The one she has houses 2 machines.

Waving hi to everyone & going off to sit and read before bed, it's been a LONG day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

https://koalacabinets.com/cabinets

Here's the koala web page.
They are nice cabinets and tables, but very pricey.

Susan, so glad you saw the nurse. Take care of yourself.

Verona, ON

Dreary day here. It rained overnight and it looks like it could again.

LK will there be a lot to do to get your Del Rio home ready to put on the market? You sure have had more than enough on your plate for quite awhile. How's the pup? Keeping you and your sister close to my heart.

Betty the downstairs has infloor heating and the heat rises. I keep the thermostat at 60* upstairs. I like it cool. Once the wood stove starts up I have windows open to let some air in. I wear shorts in the house.

Zeke and Chaos have a new treat and don't know quite what to do with it. It was quite amusing to see them figure out what to do with it. Each treat is over 2 ft long so it was funny to see how they could move from room. Zeke figured it out quickly and Chaos just decided to stay in the bedroom.

Foodland was packed with males of all ages doing the last minute shop for the camp. The wives of several camp members have turned Sunday into a huge family meal. Some of the guys resent it. Me - I always considered Warren's time at the hunting camp as my holiday. He never shot at anything but the rest of the guys made up for that.

Susan I am glad you able to see someone. Here there would be no chance. You would just have to go to the ER. I saw when I went by the GP's office this morning there were several cars in the lot. Sometimes my GP sees patients on a Sat or pays another GP to come in and take her place.

Betty how are you feeling today? Having intense pain every moment takes it's toll.

Sharon I sure enjoy reading about your flowers, plants and plans for your garden.

Bought some groceries and have no idea what to make for dinner. I just bought some cold meat as sandwiches seem to be my go to. I'm having a friend for lunch this week so will have to make something special for her. Any ideas?

What's everybody up to tomorrow? I will be doing the tango with the leaf blower for a few hours if it doesn't rain.

Deb how are the pups you kept?

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Been a busy couple of weeks. Pups are doing good, growing like weeds. I still have the 3, the boy is supposed to go to a friend in Indianapolis once he gets back from a trip later this month.

Continued prayers for you and your sister, LindaKay.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I'm busy working on the 1st of the 5 memory lap quilts. This summer I've been away a lot & my brain's been elsewhere, so didn't do anything with them. Now, I need to get busy on them. I have 2/3 of one on the design board. I'm doing nine-patch on the 1st one. Likely the same on the others.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Lizzy is doing good, gaining weight and full of the dickens. House is empty. It just needs a good cleaning.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

We had a good day. Had a friend visit for 3 hours this morning. We have a standing schedule every Saturday. She was Vern care giver and after he died, she just kept on coming over. So while she was here I picked the majority of the sweet peppers and cut up twp cooked breast of chicken and two sweet onions and made fajitas. That will give Brian something to eat for a few days.

I am sorry, I didn't realize I was getting on here so late. I will get on here in the morning after Emma walk.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I hope that goes quickly for you Linda.

Deb, updated pup pictures please!

Dianne, I can visualize the dogs trying to get something that wide thru the doors. I am not sure exactly what the men are resenting? do the women get together at camp & have like a potluck and the men don't want them there?

Still working on the house... also went to see another today.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, made a cup of coffee and just remembered that clocks have to go back..not a fan of turning them back..told Ziggy who is wanting out, said daylight soon, but he will have an hour extra to wait. Sad, he sits looking at me, then outside then back at me but it has been reported that fox and fishers are in my area.

Deb, do you have any major shows entered this year? With one of the pups gone that will leave you with how many? Have you had snow?

Lindakay, you’ve been on my mind a lot this morning, how did Kathy fare during the night? How long do you think you will have to be in Del Rio? i thought for sure that as the months went by you would go back home. Bet you can’t wait to get back to Lizzy kisses and play time.

Oh Dianne, keep the house at 73 but lastly 71 because I am liking the cooler temp.
I would have coat and blankets on.it’s that time of year Dianne, the Christmas craft shows are on, although my plans are to keep my jammies on all day i can hear whispers saying “come to the craft show, there is exciting new things waiting for you.”
Entry feeI think $7.50-$10.

if it weren’t for my shoulders Dianne I’d be fine. Wednesday when I go for therapy I will tell them I only had problems with my left side and with these exercises my right side bothering me.

What you bought the the boys as treats are they deer/moose antlers. Sharon buys them for her crew and they love them but Lordy are they expensive

I’m like you Dianne, i bought meat several times over the last few weeks and kept a package out from freezer then before supper it’s nah, soup or sandwhich will do so in the freezer it goes.

Sharon, how wonderful that you became friends and she still comes over, that is a dish I have never made. Will it be a good gardening day? Is it family supper tonight?

Pat, how long before you find out costs of Reno. I’m sure with economy it’s only estimated as the costs rise daily. Don’t think our lumberyards firm up their quotes anymore. Any news on the cabinet, checked the link Lindakay gave us, Lordy that is quite the unit. Was nice hearing you were resting and reading a book

Susan, nurse practitioners I think are as good if not better than doctors. Glad you are getting additional testing, better to be cautious. Could Bob have gotten his vehicle repaired or someone offer him theirs and still come, might be hard because he has to one with police right? Do you have any significant snow. Were you commissioned to do 5 quilts for Christmas or were they to be made when you had time? They are so time consuming because more than anything we want them to be perfect.

Hoping if by chance Karen is reading or someone speaks with her please tell her she is missed and i hope she and hubby are in good health

Just let Ziggy out, looks bright out there

Now to finish my coffee, eat my porridge and decide if I will drive to Barrie to craft show.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I thought I posted but it disappeared........
LindaKay - you're both in my prayers, always
Betty - glad to hear it's "only" your shoulders, although that's bad enough.
Diane - I can picture them trying to go through the doorway with the treats lol
Sharon - a friend of mine, Una, met her good friend Sandy the same way. Sandy was Una's husband's careworker, and when he passed away, Sandy & she became close friends. Good that she's your friend :)
Pat - lumber is VERY expensive. Hope you have some way to cut costs while keeping your dream home firmly in place.

Betty - you're right, practitioners are just as good. I'm going to make another appoingment to talk to her about my feet. I told my original Dr that it felt like I had soft pads in the balls of my feet & he said it was nothing. Now I have them all over the bottom of my feet. My foot care lady (Lisa) couldn't feel anything, but they are worse - right down to the heels of both feet.
In the 5 lap quilts, I'm going to do a maple leaf block in the center of each. My printer's out of ink, and I can't find my paper copy of it, so will have to go with the computer screen lol I think it's going to look good. Instead of red, pink & white, I'm going to use the dark pink, light pink & white (she didn't wear red, so I don't have that to "pull" on)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy is barely breathing. Heart rate is really slow. We are all keeping an eye on her.

Victoria Harbour, ON

May the Lord be watching over you all. May she walk with the angels tonight. Hugs

Hopefully they can find answers Susan, hard walking I bet

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy passed away about 5:30 this morning.
Thank you all very much for your prayers and support.
I love you all very much.

Victoria Harbour, ON

There are just no words to give comfort Lindakay, so many loses in a short period of time. Condolences to you and your family! Kathy is at Heaven’s gate walking with Angels without her worldly pain. Hugs for you all.

Will there be a service now or a Celebration at a later date?

Time to look after you now
Love you

Verona, ON

LK sending my sincerest condolences to you and your family. There are really no words as you have had so many losses in this last while. You are a strong woman LK. Please take some time now to let you take care of you. Of course meeting up with your puppy will do lots to ease your sadness.

Chaos gave me quite a scare yesterday and I was sure it was his time to cross the bridge. He has been having 'spells' for a few weeks. I finally drifted off about 4am only to be woken about 6 to kisses to my face from Chaos. He even ate some kibble all on his own. He will be 10 on Christmas Day which is old for a Rotti. He has a huge cyst on his belly and I know I will have difficulty getting him into the vet this week. We need vets in this area terribly. Doctors and vets are desperately needed in my neck of the woods. I am going to walk Zeke soon so I will see if Chaos will follow along. Zeke has had to be leashed this last few weeks so his pinch collar will be going back on when we walk.

Good luck seeing the NP Susan. I used to laugh at Warren as he complained about his feet starting in his late 50's. Jokes on me as my feet are really bothering me now. I use my Dr Scholl's foot bath with epsom salts in the water every night before I go to bed.

Pat what is on your agenda today ? I know you won't be sitting around. How is Stanley?

I hate this time change !!! Anyone else?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank you everyone.
We are getting ready to go to the funeral home in a bit. There will be a funeral, probably Friday or Saturday. I will fly home after the funeral.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Making funeral arrangements is overwhelming.
You must be so exhausted Lindakay, now to make all those medical appointments to get you well. As Dianne said, Lizzy will be there waiting to love you up.

Seems Dianne we have an abundance of vets here but are so in need of doctors.
Seems like yesterday you got Chaos, are you thinking the growth has something to do with the seizures? Is the pinch collar the one that gives off a little shock?

Don’t know if you had this dreary rainy day, i thought I might go to Barrie this morning in looks of heavy clear plastic so I can make windows in the back deck closure panels but still not up to par so couch it was. I just rolled up the heating blanket and sitting with heat on my back/shoulders, think I will bring it to bed and do same tonight.

Any of you have severe night sweats. I wake up soaking wet even though I’ve been leaving my window open and my fan over the bed on and still sweating big time? Any thoughts??

I sent group message to Linda, Suzanne and Rita to see if our weekend to Buffalo is still a go, both Linda & Suzanne cannot go, I really don’t want to go but if Rita says she wants to go and get her Xmas shopping done I will go but would rather not.

Vanessa comes in an hour, i would cancel but i cancelled last week.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, I understand the grief and the relief, knowing your sister is painfree. Arm wraps to you.

Yep, hate the time change.

Stanley is inquisitive and all the changes & boxes etc and a little skiddish but overall doing Ok.

I meet up with friend today. It's literally been well over a year since we had time together & we set this date about 6 weeks ago. The first day she had off after being out of town. I need to do the whole Medicare supplement research but have put it off

Today I hung new white curtains and changed out my bright pink bedspread to white background on the twin bed in the computer room. I have curtains & new rod ordered for the sewing room. I am still boxing up stuff. I still have some painting to do but on the whole closing in on this project. My goal is to have the house clean & my outdoors restored as much as possible when the finish up here & remove the equipment, a week from tomorrow. I have a desk to move out as well.

Verona, ON

Betty that is a shock collar. The 1 I use has prongs that when I correct Zeke just the touch of the prongs let's him know. I also have rubber tips on the prongs.

The TH really ticked me off this morning. I went to take them out for their walk and Zeke bolted. I either had to let go of his leash or fall flat. Off he went with Chaos in pursuit. Chaos got as far as Nyla's and Mike was able to grab his leash. I tossed Chaos in the Bronco and drove up to McNeely's. Zeke knew he was in big trouble and I had a few choice words for him. He slunk into the house and hid. I was so ticked I ate a huge chocolate muffin and was eying the second one. Betty you know the ones at Foodland - they have chocolate pieces on the top. Yum.

LK you will be glad to get home. You take care of yourself and don't overload yourself with things to do.

I have a friend coming for lunch this week. Can't figure out what to make. Someone suggested shrimp scampi or chicken alfredo. I have everything on hand to make either.

Betty I still haven't started the wood stove but I think it will be first thing I do in the morning. I know if I was in the farmhouse I would have had the stove going long before this date.

Sleep well everyone tonight.
