Hi!
I have a 10inch terracotta planter that I will be planting ranunculus in.
I live in zone 9a so they won’t last too long once the Heat comes around in spring.
Will it be safe to plant vegetables or herbs in the planters after I have taken out the ranunculus?
TIA!
Safe to plant vegetables after ranunculus?
As long as you remove any leaves that may have fallen onto the soil, I think it should be fine. I have read that ranunculus are poisonous if eaten in large quantity, so your soil should be fine. Good luck for the coming season. I grew up near Laredo and realize the unique conditions you face.

Thank you for letting me know! 🙂
Oh yes, spring and summers can get brutal.
Good luck to yours as well!
