I would like guidance, links, advice to growing my veggie and herbs indoors for the winter. I currently have everything in pots because we rent and also live in the desert which is new to me. I've lived on the east coast and Midwest for all other gardening.
MY plants are still producing fruit but the frost is coming soon so I'd like to see if I could extend the season either by buying an outdoor, movable greenhouse structure or move them in side to a window area.
I have 3 tomato plants, 1 cucumber, 2 basil, 1 jalapeņo, and 4 avocado trees (small not bearing fruit)
indoor veggie gardening
brought in tomatoes and eggplant last winter. got good chery tomatoes but eggplant did not flower . oregano and thyme did poorly this winter I'm adding supplemental light , tomatillos, and arugula. my biggest problem is overwatering. all plants reduce water needs in the winter. I'm trying to propagate succulents. I have learned to NEVER water them.
