Hello everyone! I’m pretty new to gardening and have been learning about native plants in my region (NY State). My yard has been pretty unmanaged for years and I’m having trouble dealing with some problem plants.
Most problematic is the poison ivy that’s established itself. I don’t want to use any poison to get rid of it, so I’ve been manually pulling it up as I can. Is that a good method? Just keep at it?
The other problem is this wild vine (I think it’s some kind of wild grape) that swallows up trees and shrubs. It’s very stubborn. Is it really harmful though? I do think birds and other critters like it. But I don’t want it to harm my trees.
Thank you and nice to meet ya! :)
