I gave a friend a slip from my Charles Grimaldi brugmansia to root, which she did. It developed roots just fine, but also developed these strange white things. She went ahead and planted it in the ground, and says it seems to be doing ok. Anybody have any ideas, info, advice? Most appreciated. Thanks.
What are these strange white spots?
I wish I could remember what we called them. Maybe root knobbies? LOL It was just a term we made up.
Anyway, they are where the roots can spring from. Rooting them in water brings them out. Each one is capable of sprouting roots.
Brugs are so easy to root. I once rooted the top 2 baby leaves on a stem maybe 1/8th of an inch long.
Thank you! I actually thought it might be something like that!
