This is crazy. I saw the culprit running away as I was pulling down the driveway. It could’ve been a gopher but I have no idea…I am in zone 7A. I inspected the property for borrowing but I did not see anything. It’s a grayish brown chubby thing about 6 to 8 inches long.It is eating my vegetables, my phlox flowers, seedling, and ornamentals, and even my sweet potato vine to the stem. This damage was done in two days. It is not a cut worm caterpillar. How to stop it?
What is eating all my phlox, ornamentals and vegetables.
THANKS. IT WAS A GROUNDHOG!!
My nemesis last year!! There is nothing they won't eat and they eat non-stop. I felt trapped in a 50's Warner Bros. cartoon...get the smoke bombs, shotgun, dynamite, pour gasoline on the garden and ignite, explore nuclear alternatives!
