Ants on plants

Hi again. Looking for some more advice/knowledge please. Ants have taken a liking to one flower in my garden bed. Any idea how to get them to abandon their flower conquest or why they like this particular one.

Your plant probably has aphids on it and the ants are "milking" the aphids for honeydew.

As hcmcdole rightly said if there are ants there are aphids.
Try using Marseille soap (real Marseille soap for agricultural use that acts against aphids, white flies, red spider mite, cochineal, bedbugs, psyllids and metcalpha for obstruction of the respiratory tract. Important is that it is allowed in organic farming and does not bear damage to pollinating insects; it also dissolves honeydew, softens smoke, makes the effect of insecticides, if necessary, added to them more persistent and ensures that Neem oil dissolves perfectly.
Dose: from 6 to 10 gr in 1 liter of water (the soap, reduced in small flakes, is dissolved first in a little warm water and is added to the rest) administered with a nebulizer (well washed detergent sprays are also fine) one vote every 7 days three consecutive times (a further cycle, if necessary, after 20 days).
The treatments should be done in the late evening, at a temperature below 32 ° by first doing a toxicity test on a small portion of the plant (waiting 24 hours to see the effects - it should be done always and with each treatment). Thoroughly mist the plant even inside and on the back of the leaves. Also take care to keep the plant well ventilated inside so that the air can circulate freely avoiding situations of excessive humidity.
