When I first got my potted Dahlia, it made large full 3 or 4 in. blooms. Now it makes measly little 1 " blooms. I deadheaded and use a fertilizer every 3 weeks it sits in all day sun.. gets some shade at 4 oclock. What could be wrong.?

How big is the pot?
It was purchased in a 6 inch pot and they are now in a 14-inch pot.

Well, in my opinion a 14-inch pot is not large for a dahlia. And what you fill the pot with can make a big difference, too. I guess I would recommend Miracle-Gro Potting Mix, although I am kind of winging it here. Some dahlia blooms can get over a foot across, although that depends on the variety. Does your dahlia have a name-tag with a variety name? You might want to check out the Dahlia forum here. There might be some Dahlia experts there.
