I am new to cucumbers (and to this community!). Everything I read says cucumbers will be green when they are ready to pick. I have some "Cool" variety of cucumbers and I am seeing a number of large variegated cucumbers on my vine. Should I be waiting for these to turn green? I have gotten pure green cucumbers out of my garden already. Are there variegated a different variety that got mixed into the pack maybe?
Cucumbers get yellow when they ripen. You should be picking them sooner.
Thank you so much CountryGardens for the quick reply. That's the thing about this one (and a few others)...it never turned the solid green that others have. They seem to have this variegated color the whole time.
