Hi!
I'm unsure about the nature of the waxy substance on this plant. I thought about Cocciniglia but I would like to confirm or know what it really is.

Strange waxy substance
It looks like dried glue that some vendors use to stick straw flowers on their cacti/succulents for quick sales.
We also made this hypothesis but it is a plant purchased a month ago and the flowers are not fake, it had faded and have blossomed recently.
