Hello, I am relatively new to gardening. I purchased a yard of "veggie mix" soil to fill my raised beds to grow beans, okra and peppers (i live in central texas, brazos vallley region). I transplanted 10 okra seedlings and 4 pepper seedlings, 4 days ago. When i put them in this new soil, i put fertilizer down the hole, mixed it around, then added a little dirt then put the plant in. Today 3 of the 4 peppers have died and about halve the okra. This soil is very drainy compared to this "bedding mix"i used in the other halve of the garden (which 0 plants have died in that one however beans and peppers aren't growing the best, did not add fertilizer to this bed). My question is, are these seedlings dieing because the soil is too drainy? Did i over fertilize and it killed them? Is there a fungus or something in the soil (some of them looked like the drop fungus i think its called) killing them? Any suggestions?
New soil help, seedlings are dieing
