Is it ok to pick the community's brain for recommendations? I'm looking for a perennial, probably a shrub but not necessarily.
Criteria:
Zone 8, morning sun, space for plant about 4x4(could have wider spread), showy, blossoms in mid to late summer.
Color preference: not white or yellow, but everything else is fine. Have any ideas? Or even a direction to start me looking? Thank you.
Recommendations?
I bet one of the summer blooming Hydrangea species would fit the bill. Take a look at H. macrophylla, H. arborescens, H. paniculata, and H. quercifolia selections. There are many dwarfer clones available that should fit in your spot.
Thanks Viburnum Valley. Hope things are fine in KY.
Things are hazy hot and humid - and drying out. Otherwise, just peachy!
