Do I cut off my Monstera leaves?

Wellington, New Zealand

Hi Im looking for some advice on my monstera deliciosa. My partners mother gave me a root cutting with a couple of leaves from a wild monstera in her garden. I took it home on the plane and it took a bit of a battering. I potted it straight in soil since it had roots already and within the first couple of weeks the leaves started to die in parts. possibly due to being injured on the plane. It's been a couple of months now an nothing has changed I'm wondering if it's gone dormant due to the shock of being removed from its home and potted in a new climate with new soil, plus its winter here in NZ. I checked on the roots and they seem to have some new growth but the leaves are still half green, half dead. I'm wondering whether I cut them off to allow for new leave to grow of whether that would do more damage and I'm better to leave them alone¿ Any advice appreciated!!

Cut the most damaged one off. Maybe wait on the one that is mostly green. Is it outside? It should grow if warm and humid. You didn't bury it too deep?

It's inside, I don't thinks its buried too deep.
Thank you for your help, I'll try cutting off only that 1 leaf and see how it goes!
