This guy is what I have believed to be an Assassin Bug. He has some unique attributes, wild hairs on top of his head, a hole in his body ( pic 3) and what I am assuming to be her eggs? On fennel that I have injured somehow in all my rebuilding.

Well, I know the eggs are black swallowtail eggs, hoping that bug is an assassin bug still.
