I bought mature magnolia tree a couple of weeks ago which the garden centre planted for me. I don't know a lot about gardening and didn't want to risk planting it wrong given that is was so expensive! However I've noticed that it does not seem to be very happy - the leaves appear to be curling and some discolouring of the newer leaves. Also, some of the leaves appear to have bite marks and dark spots. Is it suffering from transplant shock? Could it be diseased already? What can be I do if this is the case? Or is this normal and would you expect it to pick up over the coming weeks? The gardener across the road suggested it may just be under watered and i was not drenching it enough. Concerned if its something else and I leave it too long to can't be revived. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Help! What is up with my newly planted Magnolia :(
