Planted this two years ago. It was about 5 feet tall when I bought it from a store.
Trimmed couple of lower branches when planted.
Now I noticed the central leader is not growing straight up, is there a branch competing with the leader?
And the branch on the right (pic 1) is very strong, and it seems to help keep the tree balanced at this point. I would think this strong branch on the right needs to go at some point because it would be a very low branch when the tree gets bigger.
Not sure if I need to do some trimming this year or not. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Should I trim this young red maple?
