We are in the process of updating this rancher. This was my fathers home and now we are living here. I dont want to change the exterior color yet. I am trying to work with the yellow siding. I would love some ideas of what colors people would use for the shutters.
I have always loved red shutters with yellow. Though when I googled yellow house with shutters, most houses had dark shutters, probably black and those looked nice, A red door with that combo was really cute.
It would look much better if you come up with a front door entry treatment. It would totally change the look of your house. It does not have to be elaborate but would really increase its curb appeal. A few matching bushes around foundation would add so much too. i have a rose in mind too but I just can't remember the name. But I will. LOL Not that you asked.
And I found this simple front door treatment that would add to your house too.
The rose is Flutterbye, a climber. A neighbor had several pruned to huge mounds of color. They were so pretty. Might be cute as a climber on some sort of trellis around your front door.
And do not forget matching window boxes planted with color coordinated flowers. LOL
