I have a china doll tree - I live outside of Orlando Florida (zone 9). I got it as a stick about 10 years ago and it's now higher than a 2 story house. It has looked very healthy until about a month ago. The leaves are falling off/turning yellow and it looks terrible. Normally it would be nice and green and starting to show signs of blossoms. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. While I am not a fan of its extensive roots, I do love its large, fragrant, white blossoms (even though they are only out at night....). On a side note - is it normal that it only blooms at night?- that's all it has ever done... it took forever to figure out what this tree was - I got it for free from the "needs TLC" section of a local garden center - even some horticulture experts I know had no idea until it bloomed.
My China Doll tree is dying!
