My Morning Glory `Heavenly Blue` grows the wrong colour, it grows pink, and has done this the last two years from different seed packets. They have done the same from growing in the ground ( though propagated in soil free compost) and in hanging baskets for the last two years. My guess is pH, but why is the colour wrong in both ground and basket?
Even if its pH I don't know how to correct it. I read the pH test kits are all but useless
How do I get them to grow and flower blue. Any idea's are welcome
Below is an image of the colours I get, but by eye its paler than the image

Hi CrowCtg,
My guess is that it is not your soil pH that is to blame, but you have simply apparently got the wrong variety of seeds in two different packets. I suggest you purchase Heavenly Blue seeds from a reliable source. I don't have any direct experience with seed companies in the UK, but you might try this link

I agree with Zen Man, buy your ‘heavenly blue morning Glory from a reliable source. Personally, I bought my ‘Heavenly Blue’ morning glory seed packets from Lowes and they always bloomed blue. I’m not associated in any way to Lowes. I suggest you also make sure any seed packets you purchase have the words written that the seeds are good for the year you are planting them- in this case- the year 2019.
