Sorry if this is a repeat -- my first attempt didn't appear to post.
I have discovered several very fresh and recent gopher mounds in my flowerbeds, but dig as I might among them, I can't find the gopher holes -- the entrances to their burrows. I wish to try using those ultrasonic sound stakes to deter them, and I understand they have to be inserted directly into the gopher or vole hole in order to work. But, I can't find the holes. There are several mounds of loose dirt, and these have only shown up withing the last few days.
Does anyone know how to locate the actual openings to their burrows?
Where are the holes?
They should not be placed directly in the entrance but should be placed near the mounds or runs.
So, it doesn't matter if I find the holes, as long as I stake them nearby. Very helpful, and much easier. Thanks for that info.
