Can someone please identify this caterpillar? It was on my basil plant. Also, there is something under it between it and the leaf. Thanks
Caterpillar I.D
Regarding the items underneath the caterpillar, are they attached to the leaf, independent of the caterpillar? Without a better view, they look to be something's pupa. Regarding the caterpillar, it looks to be a moth larva; what folks call a cut worm. Not knowing it's size or location — what would be common or endemic to your area — it's difficult to identify the species.
