I have a large patch of Asceplias and some of the stems have completely died, I don;t see any obvious insect damage but I'm concerned that the rest of the plant will die. Additionally, when I was deadheading today, it appeared that some of the stems were hollow when I cut then back to a leaf node.
They've been there since 2011.

It's crown rot. Even though my soil is amended, the crazy amount of rain we've had has proven too much. Fortunately, most of the patch seems fine.
