Hello!
I was wondering if i should use an insecticide on my flowerbeds for preventative purposes?? If so, is there an all purpose one someone could recommend? I’ve planted a lot of perennials this year and just want to make sure they are safe! I live in zone 8a (north Louisiana). Thanks in advance!

Insecticide Question from a new gardener
I wouldn't since you will also kill the beneficial insects and possibly the bees that come for the flowers. Occasional spray of insecticidal soap solution would usually take care of the occasional pest. The only perennials/flowers that don't attract bugs are plastic.
Some insecticides might be harmful to the plants. It can be toxic to a host of other organisms including birds, fish, beneficial insects, and non-target plants.
