Hey guys! I'm new to gardening and I just recently bought a pepper plant. When purchased it had one pepper growing. It was a very top heavy plant and I read everywhere to 'prune' it back so it grows more like a bush (more peppers). I cut it back two days ago and I'm wondering if I did the right thing and if anybody can give me encouragement that my plant will produce in a few months. Any tips are welcome! Thanks.
Pruning Jalapeño pepper plant
You should be fine and time will tell. From the looks of it you have a several side shoots that should elongate now that you cut the top off. My only suggestion is too cut the stub on the top so you have left about a 1/4” and also angle the cut so slopes to the right in stead of the left as pictured
