Any ideas for fast growing shrubs to add to my foundation garden (UNDER the TRIPLE WINDOW) to cover up my 1970s brick? The three boxwoods pictured are sooooo slow-growing. I've had them for three years, and they're still tiny little squats. I am thinking maybe hydrangea or knockout roses interspersed between the boxwoods? But maybe I need more evergreens instead?
I'm in zone 6b. Lots of deer. Morning sun. Afternoon full shade, except on corner of house, where it stays sunny.
(For the side of the house, between the garages, I have two rose bushes--just can't see them in this pic, since it's winter. I'm open to ideas for that spot too--that side gets full sun.)
Thank you in advance!!!
Need ideas for fast growing shrubs
I've ordered from this company with success. But even if you don't order from them, the website could give you some ideas for fast-growing shrubs.

Boxwoods are notoriously slow-growing. They're a good choice for sites where you want something that's low-maintenance and long-lived but not so much if you want fast filler/cover. If you plant something fast-growing near the boxwoods they'll probably get smothered and decline or die. So best to transplant the boxwoods to a more appropriate location.
You say you have lots of deer in your area, so hydrangea and especially roses would not be a good choice. I'd suggest some type of holly. If you want something that looks like boxwoods check out Japanese holly (Ilex crenata), just be sure to get a cultivar with your desired height/width mature growth habit. There are also many other hollies that may work for you, again be sure to select a cultivar (named variety) with the desired size so you're not left wishing it would be larger or constantly pruning it to keep it under control.
