Recently in New Jersey we had two big snow storms back to back during the first storm my tree split in half and landed on the 10 foot bushes. Will the bushes straighten up on their own, the tree
was removed off the bushes and they are still leaving over does it take a while for them bounce back up or should I prune because some of the branches are still laying inter-twined and if so when is the best time to prune?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Shrubs Leaning
Hello it is not likely that they will straighten back up. What is likely is that any new grow will phototropically respond- grow towards the light. You could remove all the growth that is laying down and give a good feeding with compost / manure or a balanced fertilizer of your choice. Pruning could be before you see any new growth so now or the next few weeks
