Like the look of the dwarf pink cultivars (ruellia brittoniana -Katie Bonita Pink and Southern Star Pink). If you've planted these in the North Texas (DFW) area, do you still have them? Are they hard to control or too invasive?
Don't want to plant them if they could spread to my neighbor's yard. Purchased seeds for the Dwarf Southern Star Pink ... so they must be able to spread by seed... Wonder if the Katie variety is less invasive?
They would be such a great border/edging plant.
I've read there is a Mayan Compact Purple variety that is sterile, but it seems to be only for wholesale; can't find it retail. I'd prefer the pink, but would like to find the sterile Mayan compact purple if the other types are in fact invasive in the N. Texas area.
Dwarf Mexican Petunia - how invasive in N. Tex.?
