The out-of-state nursery I ordered 7 Thuja Green Giant trees from that were supposed to be delivered in April were sent immediately and they were delivered today in CT, zone 5. After conferring with them they told me to store them in my garage. Now. . . how much light do they need and do I water them. I don't know if they are dormant. Any help much appreciated;
Care of newly delivered evergreen trees
Hello there it is cold in CT these days and probably will be for some time
a few questions
Are they in containers?
Are they balled and burlapped?
Have the holes already been dug for the trees?
If they were supposed to be delivered in April, will they guarantee them because they were sent much earlier than arranged?
Personally and professionally, I would have refused to receive the plants in the event that you had agreed on an April delivery

Post pictures of what you have there. That will make it clear to readers here, and then good advice can be given.
