Advice on dormant fern

Hi there! I just received a fully dormant ghost fern (athyrium Ghost) as a gift. Never had a fern, much less a potted one out of season and our ground will be frozen for months yet - how do I keep it safe until it can be planted? House has dry air but outside temps here have been single digits and below: I doubt that is good for it!
