Hello! This is my first attempt at growing a sunflower. I planted exactly a week ago and this little sprout shot up fast! I noticed that the little leaves on the sprout have dark tips and not sure how to diagnose that or if it is genetic. My packet of seeds was unmarked but are for sure a sunflower. Below is a photo attached.
First Sunflower
Give it strong light and a bit of breeze or it will shoot up so fast it will kill itself with a tiny stem and top heavy. The first set of leaves aren't going to last past a few sets of true leaves anyway. Sometimes a leaf will show bronzing if the flower is going to be a darker color. Your sprout is fine and healthy
