I think I planted 4 bare rhizomes of Cannas WRONG! I should have dug wider and set each horizontally with "eyes" up??? Nothing has happened and it has been 6 weeks since planting. Are they just notoriously slow? And what do the "eyes" look like? I didn't see anything that looked like eyes just big fat not mushy rhizomes. I assumed I knew what I was doing (a little neighbor kid wanted to help me right then and I didn't do my research). Can I dig them up and re-do them now in early June in Ocala Florida (Zone 9 HOT sun lots of water in rainy season)?

Thank you - don't murder me - then the cannas WILL die!
