Hello Fellow Gardeners,
I recently planted a bunch of Ferns and Hosta from bare roots in my shade garden. I am in zone 7bpeat, they have been getting the recommended water amount and I amended the soil around the bare roots pretty good adding peat moss, perilite, blood meal and bone meal (I have clay soil). It has been 3-4 weeks since they were planted, only about 40% have emerged. How long do I wait before I figure that they will not sprout and replace? Bare roots are much cheaper but the patience part is killing me. Thanks for any advice in advance!
