I bought several of these gorgeous Aralia the year before last and grow them in pots. They are becoming root bound. I can of course pot them up to the next larger pot size, but I do not want them to be giants. Does anyone know how these are divided? Can I just rinse off the root balls and whack them in half with an ax?
