A Rose silk # 1. sometimes they come out more rose than chocolate. I used to
see them id'd both ways and they would look completely alike.Yours is definitely
more of a Rose silk. Split 2nd # 2 and Jamie lYnn # 3. Jamie Lynn comes out of the same sds as Carnival of Venice.your 4th pic. Love your Bright blue on the end.

I still have a hummer visitor which is nice to see. Lots of my salvias and tropical flowers are still blooming. Most of my mgs are done, collecting a few seeds from those. We need rain, been awhile since we had any.

Helena, Can't believe how big your Scotchmans Purse/Turks cap is getting. Beautiful rose and Salvia.. So glad you;re still getting mg blooms and they're beauties.

I agree with Jackie and Linda, Helena. Your blooms are uplifting! I am at work today, been dog sitting in the evenings with Oreo, Paul's surgery went well, he is expected home Monday. Wish I could grow turks caps, but I just can't seem to get it. Love that rose, wow.
My hummers went south to Linda, I think.

Beautiful blooms Helena. We still have a few hummers here.

My hummer is still here this morning. My hamelia patens is probably over 10ft tall. I collected a few berry's from a smaller one and the fire ants were after the berry's too cuz they got me. Love the color of this rose today. Last of the mgs are still blooming..

Beautiful blooms Helena. Love that darker hige.

Your hamelia patens is impressive. I planted a small Hamelia patens in the ground but should have
plantd one of my large ones. I have 2 in buckets and they;re begging for larger pots or to be in the ground,.Too late now, they need time to send their roots deep
so they can come bsck in the spring,.
Great color on your 'rose..

Helena, those are beautiful!

That rose looks like it smells good! I still have not grown a hamela patens. That and blackberry lily seem to not want to live at my house. :P
Your shibouri and the hige is really pretty to see. I tore down the sticto and the merrremia, now everything is wilted. *sigh*

Thanks Jackie, Linda and Debra.

Jackie, cover the hamelia patens with leaves under it and over. It will give it extra protection. I have done that with a few of my tender tropical. One is the Erythina Bidwillii (sp?) Now it has a huge trunk and I just cut the branches when frost gets it.

Happy with my mg blooms this morning. I watered all my plants yesterday.
Pink silk cross was lavender this morning.
Blushing Bride
Black Queen with odd color
Red color on Solid Chocolate before it opens tomorrow
Dark Pink Hige

Bloom from Pink Silk opened today Jackie, I think it had the Lav. color due to the very cool weather. I was collecting seeds yesterday so I know it wasn't open yesterday or I would have taken a pic of it then. Just lucky to have blooms.

Helena, Pink Silk turns lavender if it's still open on the 2nd day.. Wonder if yours opened yesterday.and you didn't notice it? Love your other mg blooms too especially the pretty hige. The original chocolate that I bought sds of from Mr Hudson, made almost red blooms if grown in a lot of sun. More chocolate if grown in more shade.

Time for a new thread..
